We always stay here when on a school trip to Berlin. Very friendly and helpful staff used to school groups. Food is okay (Breakfast is good - evening meal is average). Only 5 minutes walk to the Ostkreus S train station.

Some friends of mine and me went to Berlin to celebrate Silvester and booked this Hostel. Overall - it wasn't a pleasant stay...the Groupshowers were dirty and in one of these there was even pee. The whole wing smelled either of chlorine or puke. In one room, there was a hole in the wall, covered with some tape. To be...

I was there for 2 nights. At first I booked for four days but later changed it. Location is little far from s-bahn station. It takes 7-8 mins to walk there. But from s-bahn station alexandarplatz only 8 min away. Hostel stuff are not professional. You have to ask for everything you need they won't tell you anything by themselves....

I stayed here one night but that's all it took to get bitten by bed bugs. At first I thought it was mosquito, but then it was a rash like with little bites, and it's too cold in Berlin for mosquitoes. Plus they force you to pay extra for breakfast!!! I stayed in another hostel before this one in Alexanderplatz...

I only stayed at this hostel for one night. I rented a private room and was pleased with the price and the room itself. The breakfast was typical for the region. The receptionist who checked me in was outstanding. I'll definitely use this place if I am ever in Berlin.

I stayed here over the summer with three other girls on a trip around Europe. We waited in line to get our room keys for at least thirty minutes while about a dozen Australian and English boys were yelling in the lobby. The room itself was like any other hostel. Its purpose is to be slept in--that's it. Unfortunately sleeping...

This is the worst hotel and hostel ever. You don't want to be found dead here. We had a hotel room for two days and our cards suddenly didn't work the next day. The receptionists working at the counter were very annoyed and not helpful at all. They do not take your struggle seriously and have a big mouth towards...

I have stayed in this hotel for 6 days and it was good. Its not your super fancy hotel but it suited my needs. There were hot water in the shower, room was fairly in good size. The mattress was a little uncomfortable. I think it will be wise for the hotel to consider changing these mattresses as thry were...

We had a family room with en-suite toilet & shower. Good shower in a cubicle (not a wet room). You have to make your own bed, which is OK, but a bit of an unexpected pain when you arrive tired from your journey in the middle of the night. The whole place has the feel of an old-fashioned student hostel...

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighbourhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
