Nice hostel with an awesome bar below, was a little pricy for what it was and there was only one bathroom on our floor which made it a bit difficult trying to have a shower. Definately would stay again. Rooms were clean and spacious, close to train station and a nice walk to all the main monuments.

Getting here from the airport was so easy and I felt the staff (though quite slow at check out and check in) were really welcoming and friendly towards guests. Room was clean and luckily got located in the "Oasis" section of the hostel with a kitchenette, lots of showers and a 4 bed dorm. Loved the usb sockets and cheap...

Amazing place with amazing staff. The rooms were great. No computer access, but located an internet cafe within a couple of blocks. Discovered currywurst here, and you have to try it. Yummy !! Met all sorts of great folks from all over the world. The location was great, in that it only took one bus to get to and from...

We stayed in an apartment with a shared bathroom, we didn't expect to have a big kitchen and lounge area included which was really nice and a toilet as well as regular bathroom. All in all good value for money, the hostel has a really nice atmosphere and there's lots of info for tourists. The drinks are cheaper in the...

Hostel needs an age limit / I don't want to be sharing a room with a bunch of 16 year old boys on a break from high school. Request a room at the back of the hostel to avoid smoke coming up into the rooms from the bar below. Basic ammenities, Good basic stay.

This is a well run, friendly staffed, well situated, clean and happy place to stay. Free walking tours from here, also there is a very good comedy club 2 doors down the street. The bar downstairs is open late and is in full swing for most of the day with very little sound disturbance upstairs. We were in a 16...

We really enjoyed having the popular and often packed sports pub underneath/ a part of the hostel. It meant that you had somewhere to go to have a drink, and they also offered very good value burgers and pub food! Free breakfast was good value with rolls, cereals, fruit , spreads, cheese and meat. Our rooms were comfortable with clean...

Easy to get to, great neighborhood with lots to do around it. Bar on bottom level makes it easy to meet people! Beds were clean, showers were hot, and everyone in our 6 person room had their own charger! Would recommend to anyone looking to travel Berlin on a budget!

Clean, basic rooms, friendly staff, big walk in showers for women, good food and drinks in the bar, free plain breakfast (cereal, bread, ham, cheese, yoghurts), paid around €32 for one night which I thought was very expensive for only one night. Good location, 10-12min walk to Alexanderplatz.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
