I stayed here with my partner for three nights recently. The hotel met the expectations I had after reading the Tripadvisor reviews: the place is funky with an exciting design. The service is very friendly if a little sloppy. The shaving mirror was missing the first night but promptly replaced. The tile heating in the shower section did not work....

After having done several searches on the internet for 'interesting' hotels to stay in, in Berlin, I came across this one. I booked one of the 'studio' rooms - which is just like the room pictured on the website. It had the bath attached to the bed, big walk in shower, double sinks, seating area, moveable plasma screen...etc. Checking in...

Sorry if this is a bit long, but you may find it helpful. I recently stayed at Hotel Q with my wife. We were there for three nights over new years. We are both in our twenties and I was looking forward to going to Berlin as I lived there as a child and wanted it to be a bit...

Based in a great location two minutes walk from U and S bahn stations with plenty to do locally, this hotel has a lot of promise. Certainly it is well fitted and quirky. Our room had a bed and washing bowl in one fitting and an excellent shower opening out on to the room. The design is stark with a...

I was having doubts about this hotel after reading of the experiences of the travellers who had booked their break through Expedia like we had, and was expecting the worst! However we had no problems at all - reception staff were pleasant & welcoming, even asking us to ring down if we had any trouble finding anything in the room....

I booked the hotel Q in September 2005 for 4 nights for my December stay in Germany. Unfortunately before December 1 2005, hotel Q already double charge me for a total of 960 Euro, 480 each time. I was stunned when I realised that and I wrote an email for rebate with their address listed on their official site. To...

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Q! at the end of November. While the hotel is a bit pricey for what you get, overall the location and service prevail. The rooms are a bit funky (watch out for the sloping edge of the bed . . . slight tripping hazard!). We arrived at 10am, well before check-in and...

I really don't understand how people like this hotel. I have travelled a lot and I have stayed in several boutique hotels all around the world, but the Q does not deserve at all this title.I stayed with my husband for three nights at the end of November 2005 in this hotel and our stay was from the first till...

Have just returned from a romantic break in Berlin, where we stayed at Q for 3 nights and I must say we absolutely loved it there! Although a little hard to find at first, once inside, the reception, bedrooms and bar area are all super stylish - especially loved the plush red carpet in the lift and throughout the corridors....

This hotel is basically a tiny nightclub with very stylish bedrooms. The spa outside the treatments rooms consists of a very small sauna and steam room and another room with 4 orange lilos sitting in sand. We did not enjoy staying in this hotel at all and were so disappointed as we were really looking forward to staying there. We...

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
