This was our third time staying at the hotel for all the reasons other positive reviews have mentioned. The location is great...not far from Alexanderplatz and the 200 bus stops outside with a service of around 10 minutes. Staff have always been helpful and friendly (thank you to Belinda this trip for her patience and help). The breakfast is varied...

Check in was fantastic and friendly, plus we were also given sparkling water! We had booked two rooms for four people on a high floor next to each other and that is exactly what we got. We were given an upgrade, which was a nice touch! Other hotels could do with taking a leaf out of this hotels book, because...

We booked this primarily as it was close to the airport and we had an early morning flight time. But wow! What a nice surprise! Lovely hotel, with beautiful room with nice appointments, quiet even though on a bus route, helpful and friendly staff who spoke excellent English, and very very reasonably priced! We were totally pleased and would stay...

I'd like to thank you perfect service recieved. Specially breakfast service (Ms. Brigit). I have a dangerous alimentary intolerance about milk and derivades and i had no problems. The service attended me with a lot of care of it and providing me food accordingly. Many many thanks for this because is really important for me. Keep service in this way....

The hotel is very nice and the breakfast was great. It had a good selection of hot and cold food that really set you up for the day. The hotel is warm and the rooms are a good size. The only concern we had was that the staff at reception were not very friendly. After checking into our room we...

Victor's is almost ideal for a short break in the wonderful city of Berlin. It's a very welcoming place, with good staff (apart from a couple of minor exceptions). The rooms are spacious, and spotlessly clean, but lack tea & coffee making facilities (surely this should be standard in a city Hotel?). The buffet breakfasts are really good. Plenty of...

We stayed here from October 29 to November 5, 2016. The hotel is situated directly across from a lovely park and the street traffic is light, so not much noise at all. The hotel lobby is very spacious, well-lit, and comfortable, and the front-desk staff are all knowledgeable, helpful, and customer-oriented. The room we had was on the 5th floor...

We stayed here for 3 nights. Prior to staying we asked for a room with a nice view and the staff obliged. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel is very clean and quiet. We ordered room service for the excellent breakfast and this was delivered in time and very tasty. It is slightly out of the way for the...

My lovely wife and I decided to have a long weekend in Berlin. We found this place to be the perfect place. Friendly staff in the reception upgraded us to a better room. The room we got was in fifth story facing the park. The only problem we had, was that the waterline in the street outside broke. But the...

This is a lovely hotel in a great location. The staff were excellent and it has great transport links. We had a lovely suite with a bedroom and sitting room with a balcony at a very reasonable price with breakfast included. There is also free wifi available in the rooms. It is deep inside what was East Berlin but there...

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
