good hotel with large modern rooms and really spacious bathroom. We liked the location, walking distance to lots of things but far enough away there wasn't a lot of noise. No air conditioning though so consider that if going in summer months.

We have just returned from our 3 nights stay. Room was lovely. Very modern and clean. Staff were great. Very helpful and friendly. Fab location for all museums, shopping and touristy things. The bar area is great for a quiet drink. Breakfast was expensive but lots of choice of food. Def recommend this hotel! If you're thinking of going around...

This is a really nice hotel with fair price! we checked in late and the staff helped us to find restaurant next to the hotel. Also, when we had problems with our laptops, they offered us using their computers, that way really really nice decision. Considering that last bad experience in another hotel in berlin, where the staff started a...

Our 5-nights stay at this hotel was the best experience we've had in Europe. We've stayed in almost 10 hotels during the past two years (in Italy, France, and Germany), and this one was the best. The staff speaks very good English, very friendly and attentive to small details. The breakfast buffet was just perfect with a wide variety and...

Fantastic location to explore the history and culture of Berlin from. Although it was close to a lot, there wasn't that much noise from the street (other than New Year's Eve fireworks!) Staff were friendly and welcoming and the room was very modern and spacious. Would recommend!

Great value clean and great location. Staff very helpful. Good atmosphere in the hotel bar. Breakfast was very good but at 16 Euro Per person not bad value. The choice was good. The hotel is next to the boundary of the former east/West Berlin, next to checkpoint Charlie.

Really lovely hotel, right next to Checkpoint Charlie and walking distance of Topography of Terror, Brandenburg gate and Reichstag. Staff are very accommodating and polite, room was modern and clean. Their cocktails are a bit bitter, so beware!

Fantastic price and location, couldn't have been better. We stayed for 3 nights and found the location perfect, great assess to train stations and also within walking distance to loads of great museums, bars and restaurants. Well located hotel near "checkpoint Charlie". We arrived too early for our room, but we're able to leave luggage at the hotel whilst we done some sightseeing. Check in was very quick. Room was very spacious, super king sized bed, shower(excellent). I I Could've done with tea & coffee facilities, it's nice to have a cuppa when you wake up....

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
