Excellent hotel. Stayed as a couple for a weekend in Berlin. The location is great: a minutes walk from the tram and U Bahn; Prenzlauer Berg quickly became our favourite neighbourhood in Berlin with its great selection of bars and restaurants (Pan e Vino around the corner on Kastanienallee is ridiculously good for the price). Also right next to Mauerpark...

Had a wonderful experience under the gourmet care of Gonzala and Agnes. Loved the classy ambient feel of Linnen. Our apartment was spacious, warm and cozy. Situated so close to public transport was also a real winner.. I will definitely return..

This is the nicest cafe in this highly trafficked neighborhood. The hotel is small and not every one is fortunate enough to stay here, but at the least you can come in and check it out through the cafe which has plenty of seating and is also beautifully designed. Run by a very cool Portuguese-Canadian guy.

Two mins walk to the nearest underground station and trams, with plenty of cafes and restaurants in walking distance too. Rooms are individually designed and very spacious. We stayed in room one which felt more like a small apartment than a room. The owners have managed to retain the beautiful Altbau character of the building whist giving the rooms a...

the apartment is great , a lot of space, convenient, high ceilings, quiet and calm, close to subway and trams, 5 to 10 mn from the center through subway, our host paulo is very efficient and sympathetic. the only thing which would be to improve : not enough space for te clothing.

Very efficient staff, interesting design and well-equipped. Price was good too and location is excellent. Only small gripe is that there was no overhead shower in the bathroom - it would have been easy to install and, since everything else well well-thought out, it was surprising they missed it.

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
