Clean basic room but nothing like pictures suggested. ?? Broken shower screen and mouldy bathroom shower. Soap dispenser in shower was empty upon arrival and remained so. Good breakfast, typical german, nothing extraordinary. When I asked for more coffee, was given the coffee can from the next table, who had left. !! Bed was comfortable and I slept well though,...

The hotel was very clean, the beds were comfortable, but the staff is extremely helpful in their ability to provide tourist information since most of the staff is from Russia. The front desk is closed overnigt and there is no assistance available. A great location and a good hotel if you don't need suggestions or support..

This hotel is exceptionally well located just one-half block from the fashionable Ku-damm shopping street and close to public transportation. It is an old building and the elevator is quite dated, but the rooms are remodeled (at least those on the third floor) and the bathrooms are very modern. The breakfast room is large and welcoming and the buffet meal...

I spent New Year's in Berlin and found a great deal here, with a room for 4 and very close to tube stations and town centre.

Berlin is a nice city, strange but nice... This hotel was a disaster though. It is very hard to say what was worst. The entrance is horrible (not that that is important), it's an old apartment building and on arrival you already become sad that you didn't make a reservation next door. On entering the hotel you are "impressed" by...

I'll start with the things about this place. The elder breakfast lady is a very sweet and kind woman. The breakfast itself and the coffee were good. One gets bored with it after the 4th night but that's normal, that happens everywhere. It's location was very good too, right at the Ku'Damm and not too far from for example the...

Wow - we couldn't have imagined for anything better. I was a little unsure given it was soooooo cheap, but when we arrived we were pleasantly surprised. We didn't arrive until 11pm, and because their reception closes at 9pm, they had left our key with the hotel next door. Our room was so large and had absolutely everything you needed....

I booked this hotel for me and my boyfriend at the last minute and was just crossing my fingers that the place was decent because i got three nights incl brekkie for 117Euro. The place was so much more than i hoped for! The first person we spoke to at reception was lovely and let us have our room at...

We only stayed for three nights but could have stayed longer. Didn't realise the mini bar was inclusive with our stay. It was very hot during our stay & wished there had been air-con. However we would come again. Wayne Broadley. Blackpool. England.

My boyfriend and I have've been in this hotel for 5 days during a holiday in Berlin. We liked the hotel very much: very centrally located (near Ku'damm, not far from the Zoologisher Garten), near to the bus and to the S-Bahn (2 minutes walk from the bus, about 10 minutes from the S-Bahn). The rooms are clean and quite...

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
