I stayed here for one night with a friend. We got a really good deal on the room, so I was surprised at the convenient location (located near two U-bahn stops and just a short walk from the zoo). The hotel is located in a nice old building and is very well kept up. Check in was fast and the...

We spent 3, very relaxing nights in Hotel Kima. The hotel is very well located, in a nice area of Berlin, next to the shopping street. The U-bahn is reachable with a few minutes walk, the bus stops at the corner. However the room was not too big, we had a comfortable bed, and enough space for our stuff. Bathroom...

Booked this hotel for 4 nights with family. Hotel is dated but clean. Some very old details from the past can be found. Stained glass windows, wood decorated elevator, creaky stairs. But friendly staff and really nice breakfast. Near Ubahn Adenauer platz U7 and Kurfürstendamm. 15 min to Gedachteniskirche. Parking your car demands a little bit luck. Tip: in early...

The hotel was near to Ku'damm bulevard and it was also close to the city center. From the hotel to S station it was around 7minutes. Very nice people and good breakfast. Near the hotel there is a bus station.

The hotel needs a good clean. Paint is falling off walls and ceiling. Bedding is filthy. Curtains do not fit windows. The shower was hanging of the wall and the towels were grubby. On a positive note the breakfast was okay. Would not return to the hotel and would not recommend it. I felt dirty after staying at this hotel.

The room is not well cleaned and the sheets leave you with an uncomfortable feeling. When you check in, the clerk sign you up for a contract saying you won't throw anything to the toilet besides toilet paper-because they have problems with the plumbing. The good thing about the hotel is its location and the hospitality of the workers, but...

I was part of a large group of guys staying in Berlin. This hotel was cheap enough for our budget and the location was ideal, the underground station is less than 5 minutes on foot. However the hotel itself was quite dated and badly in need of a renovation. My room was clean, however the shower and toilet left a...

I loved the building and the street it was on, with great window shopping and bars/cafes. You need to take a lovely bus ride to get to the sites, but you managed to see the sites when taking the number 100 bus. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast adequate, but given the price you can't complain. The...

I'm conflicted about this property. Our luggage did not arrive on our flight from London to Berlin. (Eurowings was the airline.) Eurowings did not handle the problem well, giving us a phone number that was never answered in order to check on our luggage. Kappa, the gentleman at the check-in desk, could not have been more helpful. He acted as...

I arrived at the hotel easily, good location. The employee barely spoke English, however he explained a few things: location of the room, breakfast time and check out. The room was OK, however I requested a double and not a twin bed. No shampoo, old towels, uncomfortable pillows. The Wi-Fi wasn't working. The breakfast was OK but the kitchen staff...

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
