The small apartment style room we had for two was excellent. The space itself is spacious with an open bathroom. Having a kitchenette was really useful, although it was very basic and could do with a teatowel and washcloth. Our room was really quiet and the bed was comfy. Rooms are serviced when need be and the staff were all...

The hotel was amazing - from the moment we walked in we felt the glamour. Lovely helpful staff on reception and when we got to our room we were speechless. A lovely view of the TV tower and full of beautiful little touches - from the coffeemaker, to the Bluetooth radio, to the walk in rain shower. There was a...

Really nice little hotel only a short walk from Alexanderplatz but very peaceful. I loved the coffee shop TypeHype on the ground floor great drinks and beautiful stationery. The rooms were modern and quirky plenty of space for a longer stay. Staff were helpful and everyone spoke perfect English.

Stayed here for 3 nights 23-26 March. The hotel is in such a perfect location, a 2 minute walk from Alexanderplatz where you can get train services and the U-bahn. On check-in the staff were very friendly and we were only charged a 50€ deposit, unlike some other people on here who claim to have been charged 50€ per night....

A lovely hotel, totally worth the price. We would go back. The location is brilliant, it is very close to the TV Tower and AlexanderPlatz. The staff were lovely and there is a free sweet stand in reception! Also you can store your luggage for free. The shower was really wonderful. There is a tiny, equipped kitchen so if you...

we arrived early on a Wednesday, lady at reception was so helpful letting us keep our bags locked downstairs. we were able to check in 2 hours early which was great. Receptionist helped us navigate to all the tourist spots we wanted to visit, and kindly gave us numerous maps. The free pick and mix and lighters was really great!...

Such a lovely hotel although the room was smaller than expected it was very modern, clean and best of all so centrally located! The staff were lovely, the free pick and mix was tasty and the attached bar/restaurant was so good! Definitely recommend for a perfectly positioned city break! (FYI they need a €50 deposit for each night)

This is an amazing hotel. The room was comfortable, well furnished and stylish and even had a kitchenette and as an added touch a Bose bluetooth speaker and lots of toiletries. The staff were friendly and accomodating and the room was extremely good value. It is very close to Alexanderplatz train station, a nearby market with some great restaurants and...

After trawling the internet for hours to plan a surprise trip birthday trip for my partner...I came across Lux 11. My partner has been to Berlin before but I've never visited. Brilliant location, right in the heart of Berlin with an underground station (Rosa-Luxemburg-platz) a couple of minutes a walk away. Booked the hotel through Expedia and had confirmation within...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
