Typical no frills Holiday Inn Express - arrived late on Sunday night, greeted nicely be reception. Very quiet, very clean room. Very handy for Tempodrom & public transport. Bar prices quite expensive. Would stay again.

Dear guest, thank you so much for this nice Review. We are glad to hear, you enjoyed your stay with us and hope you will visit us again.
The hotel is conveniently located <10 min walk from Potsdamer Platz and roughly 30 min walk from the train station. A S-Bahn station is 3 min from the hotel. The structure is modern and very clean. We were traveling with a baby for which a...More
We enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn and found it to be in a great location to walk to sites we wanted to see. it was nice having a breakfast buffet included. We would definitely stay at this hotel again and recommend it.
Location was decent- a bus stop in front of the hotel for bus no.100 which would take you to most of the tourist places.
Supermarket next door if you need to buy water.
Very limited continental breakfast - breads, cereals, fruits and cheese.
We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. We arrived at about 1130 hrs and the room was already for us. The staff all speak really good english and were all friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and ample choice for breakfast. Various yoghurts,...More
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today
you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
It's just down the street from the Topography of Terror and the museum- the whole block was SS HQ (but hotel is on the opposite side of the street) and Potsdamer Platz is a little farther up. I know it's confusing — we... More

I know it's confusing — we walked a bit before we were able to find it but once you get oriented, it's a good location.

make your way to the airport banhoff, there is a tunnel where the ticket machines are, you can get tickets for about 4 euro or less, multi zone ones cost about 5 euro, you need to get on the Regional trains into the city, change to s bahn at alexanderplatz, and get off at Alhausen Banhoff, exit the station and turn right, the hotel is about 200m down the road on the right, very easy, very cheap and takes about 30mins, download the DB phone app and use it, tells you what station you need, what platform to use and when the trains are coming, its the best app ever

You need to get to Anhalter Bahnhof, (this is a short 5 minute walk from the hotel) to get here you will need to change from the airport service into Berlin at any of a number stations. then change to get to any of the following S1 (Wannese) S2 (Blankenfelde) or the S25 (Tetlow Street).
I would advise you to download the German Trains app "DB Navigator" app, this is a great app in so much it will give you live merto service and which platform to use.
Once you come out of the station, head towards the old ruins of the former station, then look for the green Holiday Inn Express sign, its not far from the station
This is a great hotel for loacl sight seeing
