Excellent value for money. Large spacious and peaceful apartment well situated for sightseeing. Bed really comfortable . Restaurants and bars within walking distance. Rickenbacker bar is a 10 minute walk and has live music every night.

This small Hotel/ Guesthouse is housed in a beautiful old building in the heart of the Schöneberg area. Doors and windows are on a grand scale,as is the staircase but the lift is there if needed. My room was a good size, was very clean and had everything I needed, including a balcony, coffee machine, kettle etc. The owner,Olaf, was there...

We've stayed in the Stars apartments several blocks away from Welserstrasse but I decided to write a feedback 'cause the place deserves it. The good. The overall quality matches good against the price. Nice location if you have no specific goal (10 min on foot to Ku'dam, 15 - to Park, 5 - to metro, very close to Kaiser store)....

We stayed in a pleasant and spacious apartment in a quiet location. The tube station is a five minute walk away, as is a good bakery ideal for breakfasts. Management was helpful and attentive. The only negative was that the door to the outside of the apartment block was quite difficult to unlock.

We were group of friends visiting Berlin for few days, and we decided to rent an apartment instead of hotel. Our apartment was absolutely lovely, spacious rooms and fully equipped kitchen! It was close to a metro station, although we were just walking every day, as it was like 15-20 mins walk to the centre. Definitely recommending!

My partner and I had a lovely stay at Stars Guesthouse. - The room (Tango) was clean and spacious and light, whilst having appropriate insulation and heating for the very cold weather. The room was well-furnished, with lots of lighting, a colourful Keith Herring poster, a wardrobe with bathrobes and extra linens. The bathroom was well-appointed, and everything was cleaned...

We were right opposite one of the better gay bars Prinznekt in Shoneberg area. The apartment was large and ideally situated to get to the sights of Berlin and be close enough for the gay scene of Berlin. We prefer the self catering option for a cheap stay as some of the gay hotels can be expensive

Staying in Schoneberg

Neighbourhood Profile
In 1963, Schöneberg was the centre of the political west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while residents in fur coats walking their dogs or shopping in high-end KaDeWe continue the tradition with a modern flair. Schöneberg was also once the centre of the decadent and burlesque nightlife of the 1920s. It was here that Marlene Dietrich partied with Christopher Isherwood and the first gay bar in Germany was founded. Today, the gay community still revolves around Nollendorfplatz. The overground Ubahn station is even illuminated in rainbow colors, paying tribute to Schöneberg's progressive past.
