When we first arrived to Hotel Arche we were a bit shocked. The uninviting hallway doubled as a bicycle storage. No elevator, good to remember if you have heavy luggage or babycart with you. Absolutely unsuitable for people in a wheelchair. Rooms were so different from the pictures we had seen, so much that we felt a bit cheated at...

Really nice basic pension. Quality-price ratio is great. Tasty and shockingly many-sided breakfast. Flexible and friendly staff. Bus to Tegel took only 17 min, S-Bahn to downtown 15 min. Wifi works only at "reception". We stay 3 nights at early February and pay € 170...bargain!!!

I was very pleased with the price I paid for a double room including a generous and substantial breakfast. There was plenty there to satisfy everyone.Although the room was a bit shabby it was warm and the beds comfortable. The location was very convenient and we were surrounded by amenities and good transport links.Staff were friendly and helpful too.

This is a very basic accommodation. But it is clean. It doesn't have tea making facilities. But it is in a great place for shopping and sight seeing. Walking out on to the street you are right in the thick of restaurants, shops and bars. The train is less than 5 min walk from the hotel. Breakfast is included and...

Clean. Good selection for breakfast. Central Charlottenburg, with easy access to transport. Superb restaurants in easy distance. Only downside is that the bedroom needs uplifting. Good bathroom. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

When we checked into this place, the gentlemen at the counter was very friendly and knowledge. Price was good and the location even better, right down the street from the subway, very convenient. The beds are NOT comfortable, however breakfast was fresh and delicious, a typical European fare.

I was travelling from and returning to Berlin Tegel Airport, I stayed in the Hotel Arche the night before I left and the night I returned. It is in an excellent position for access to the airport car parking, only 10 minutes away. I parked my car opposite the hotel each time and used a free hotel parking permit. Access...

Very good location. Near to subway stations. In the hotel description it is said that there is parking place. In fact it is not almost possible to find a parkplace. Because it is always full. When you ask parkplace from the hotel you are sent to another hotel which you pay for it and the way to parkplatz is very...

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
