My daughter wanted a city break but her friends pulled out. I offered to go with her. She found this hotel on a good package with flight. I hadn't considered Berlin before and wasn't sure about it but agreed to give it a go. The...More
This is a chain hotel in Friedrichshain.
The hotel is reasonably new, clean and fine. Right outside a U-Bahn station (Samariterstr) with direct connection to Alexanderplatz. There is a supermarket in the GF.
So it is fine for a city trip to Berlin. The main...More

When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit
buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
