Modern hotel , good location , but poor service. The room was not cleaned, apparently because it would have to been requested the night before. The receptionist did not call my attention to this upon arrival. My card was charged with the deposit (instead of simply blocking the amount). I requested the refund, but they refused to do it, therefore I had to start a procedure with the credit card company. Very disappointing. 1 day earlier we stayed at Marriott Courtyard in Wolfsburg, where everything was great, the room was better equipped, and they did not require a deposit.,
clean nice rooms, quick check in, kind staff at reception. helpful cleaning staff. hard beds, soft and comfortable pillows. no tea or coffee in the room. good with fridge in the room. good parking opportunities, safe and secure.walking distance to everything, international district, nothing negative! highly recommended
Newly built property in the St Georg district minutes away from good bars and restaurants. We arrived very early and got granted an early check in (even though standard check in is at 3 pm). Upon arrival Jolanda checked us in and provided us with great restaurant recommendations and what to do in the area.
Just finished a 4 night stay here. While the front desk staff was very nice and the property pretty new, a few things came up that will make me stay away next time. 1. As a welcome amenity I selected the F&B credit and was told it wouldn’t apply to breakfast. Huh? The onsite restaurant only offered a 20 Euro buffet and it wasn’t worth paying that amount but with the F&B credit it would have been OK. I never had breakfast excluded from a F&B credit before! As a Bonvoy Elite member I have stayed at various properties, not a single one ever told me I can't use the credit for breakfast. 2. One morning I woke to a young man entering my room. When I jumped out of bed he quickly ran out but I caught him in the hallway asking for an explanation why he would enter a room with a ‘do not disturb’ sign. He then pretended not to speak English. I switched to German and he tried to get out by saying I only displayed the English side of the sign and that wouldn’t mean the same and he could come in. I contacted the front desk and they promised to escalate it to management, but I never heard back from anyone. This is a huge safety concern but no one addressed it. 3. The hotel’s outside wasn’t cleaned the entire time we were there. Over 4 days we were greeted by the same dirty qtip and growing number of cigarette butts. 4. We were waiting to meet with a family member, and he had contacted the front desk to leave us a message but that message was only quickly mentioned at check out. He had called 4 days earlier ☹ 5. There is a huge TV across the bar, great to watch sports but… on all 4 days we overheard people asking to see live soccer and every time they were told no one could find the remote so people need to watch re-runs of old games. Not sure what that was about, but it sure left a weird taste and a lot of people seemed unhappy. 6. The billing system on the in-room TV screen is absolutely nuts. According to that we had racked up around 1,700 Euros on our hotel bill in the first 2 days. Mostly restaurant charges. The front desk knew about the issue but was told it had been fixed. They adjusted all but it’s still quite the shock to see that bill on the screen. We left very disappointed.…
Hamburg is an amazing city. We stayed here is st Gregory district which has a lot of gay bars and clubs in the area. Has a lot of good Turkish restaurants bars and stores. The hotel is modern and clean the room are typically German. Functional plain but arm and the tv is good for putting you to sleep. Breakfast is all right but it could be a bit better with a tiny few tweaks. Recommended by me at any rate.
