Do you know what Margriet de Moor, Henning Mankell and Martin Walser have in common? They’ve all stayed with us and left their marks in the hotel. In the heart of the vibrant St. Georg quarter they found their Hamburg home away from home: a library full of signed first editions, a cosy summer garden – a hotel with a heart. Literature combines with architecture, patina with raw concrete and faraway with cosiness. In the four buildings of an elegant city hotel, our Wedina. Time to be.

An excellent, reasonably priced and very comfortable hotel in a quiet street, yet very centrally located in St Georg near the station and the Lange Reihe with its numerous shops, bakeries, restaurants and cafes. The staff were very helpful, and although there is no lift my luggage was carried up to our room. We stayed in the Red House, and complimentary tea and coffee and cooking facilities were available in one of the hotel's other properties, the Yellow House. The room was well appointed and very clean. A home from home! We did not get to visit the courtyard as there were building works going on, but would like to return.

Small hotel, centrally located near Lange Reihe which has a number of restaurants and smaller shops. Despite the location, the hotel is in a quiet neighborhood and the rooms were super silent. We stayed in a studio, which was spacious and had a really good bed. The sleeper sofa was OK, but not as good. Breakfast was small, but very high quality and staff were super friendly.

Was in the Wedina for a couple of weeks in a row. Very warm welcoming with many, small surprises and sometimes even an upgrade. What I liked a lot is the fact that I never had the same room as before – was really happy to discover the many houses and its rooms and different room styles. Thanks again!

I was visiting Wedina for a weekend trip with my family. We booked three different rooms in different houses (the hotel consist of several houses in close proximity to each other). All of them were lovely. Little details made us feeling very welcomed. The hotel itself is 8 walking minutes from the main station in a calm street.

I climbed 3 flights of stairs to my perfect little room, all worth it! Nice wood and stone details, everything in tip-top shape, courteous and efficient staff at Reception and Housekeeping. Full bookshelves in the breakfast area, a nice terrace out the back for warmer weather. Walking-distance to shops, train station, cafes and restaurants, great combination!
