Hotel located on very frequent bus route 6 into the city and adjoining train services. Very close to restaurants and a supermarket for snacks is 100 metres away. There are coffee shops just down the road and we were able to get from the airport in 35 minutes...There are walks around the large lake only 10 minutes away and a... More

It was my second stay. Good service. Clean and comfortable rooms but oriental mats smell a bit and therefore may bother some. Breakfast also good. Hotel is located in residential area; walking distance to U Bahn station and the lake. If you need to stay in the area then OK.

Never ever again. Very unfriendly staff, bathroom have no bathtub (It seems someone doesn't understand the Japanese culture!), wireless lan not working. Rooms are ok, but still overpriced for what you get. Only one Star because unfriendly staff. Don't sleep here unless you are desperate.

We spent a week in Amburg in the Nipoon hotel. The staff is very polite and speaks english well. Room was ok, clean and with standard bed. The bathroom was clean and big. It is easy to reach the train station and the city center by bus M6, whose stop is in front of the hotel. The only issue was... More

As expected was ascetic. Just seems it is starting to hide some age and wear under the claim to be Japanese style and ascetic. Got room with unenjoyable view. As I was in Hamburg for just one night Japanese moving walls helped to correct it. Booked with hopes to get hotel with firm bed and was not disappointed. Still as... More

We came for a one night-stay in the middle of November. Situated a bit off the city center, the first negative experience which we had is that apart from not being a walking distance from the center, the parking happened to be almost a mission impossible. We quickly forgot that and checked in. It was a good surprise to see... More

Had to pay a 40% upcharge because I booked directly with the hotel and not on one of those countless booking portals. When I expressed my confusion I got a lecture on flexible pricing. The whole experience was dominated by artificial friendliness and I did not feel welcome at all. (They gave me the option to cancel my reservation and... More

Stayed here several times during the course of 2 years. Nice clean rooms and great selection for breakfast buffet. Very friendly staff. Within walking distance to great restaurants and bars on either side of the hotel. Wifi speed is unpredictable and you may need to ask them to reset the system if you have difficulties accessing internet. There are only... More

We spent 3 nights in this hotel and were very pleased. The Asian influence was well done and attractive. The rooms were a nice size and the bed was comfortable. Internet access was poor in our room and that was a little frustrating. Overall we thought it was quite nice and a good value. One of its best assets is... More

We chose this on location alone and were amazed at the truly Oriental atmosphere. The location was perfect, and as a bonus just beside the Alster and its promenade. Our room was totally Japanese in style, with screens and tatami mats just as one would expect. The sofa was a futon, but the beds were deep-mattressed and comfortable. Slippers provided... More
