I was originally booked to travel at a time of the original covid peak on a non refund rate, but with some negotiation the hotel allowed a date change with a supplement. The hotel is so easy to find, reception staff friendly and although the room was small it was perfectly formed and super clean. Bathroom shower is wonderful, towels could be better quality. There are no tea or coffee making facilities or fridge, tv channels are limited to a few German only options. I found the bed comfortable. Breakfast is currently not being served which is a shame as my original booking included this but so many options nearby for all budgets and tastes. All in all a pleasant place to stay for 2 nights.
First let me say that this hotel has been beautifully updated. TripAdvisor may have some old photos and old reviews from the previous owners and it looked very bad. So, with that being said it was a very nice hotel, that has been completely remodeled and redone. The beds, tv, shower, all of that has been redone. The bathroom is really small but honestly I have no complaints really. Also it was centrally located next to the train station along with several other restaurants. The hotel is very local and cozy. I did not have any noise complaints and we were on the 2nd floor. The only reason I did not give it five stars is because their breakfast is okay and the front desk Hostess was not that nice.
Clean, modern and centrally located. ***** I decided on a weekend away to visit the beautiful city of Hamburg and catch-up with a long-time friend. This hotel is centrally located - a 5 minute walk away from the main station and was perfect when arriving on a late flight. It is modern and comfortable and the staff pleasant enough. I opted for a single room and found it to be spacious, with all the amenities I’d expect and a full sized bathroom. There were free apples in reception and a free bottle of water in the room, which was a nice touch. I had a comfortable time and I don’t recognise the comments made in the negative reviews. The hotel describes itself as a “boutique” hotel and I wonder if the negative reviews are a reflection that it really isn’t a boutique. It’s clean, it’s functional, it’s modern - but I wouldn’t describe it as boutique. For example, the staff were inflexible on a late check-out (it just didn’t seem to be a possibility, even for a fee!) and some of the small touches you might expect at a “boutique” hotel just weren’t there. However, this doesn’t take away from the fact it was clean, comfortable, conveniently located and good value.…
The hotel is close to the city train station and a five minutes walk to the shops. There are a couple of nice coffee shops nearby. Right behind the hotel is not a nice area for a solo female, but the hotel is located so close to the station that the area behind the hotel is avoidable. I felt safe, nice breakfast (But pricey) and staff were pleasant, the hotel manger was nice too. I booked through last minute and all was fine. a single room was small, but enough room. The only negative is no Kettle or coffee in the rooms, so you need to make sure you get a hot drink from the station before returning. I slept well, no issues with sounds. I would return here again. I didn’t see any prostitutes like the other reviewer has mentioned, but I was there to see my friend.
The most appalling hotel I have ever stayed in. I am not one to leave reviews at all but I was so disgusted by my experience that I simply had to share my experience. First of all, upon checking in they could not find my booking despite me showing them the booking confirmation I had through booking.com. They kept accusing me of not having a booking and tried to charge me a high walk in price. Finally I had to rang booking.com service staff to sort this problem out. I asked to borrow their phone because I was using a prepaid sim card and one of the two staff at the front desk used a racist slur in german (which i will not repeat) to talk about me to the other staff. Unfortunately for them I understood German and i was so extremely appalled. I never though in a country like Germany would I be treated like this! On top of that when the service staff at Booking.com clarified with them that I did in fact have a booking premade, they didn't even apologize. Another thing besides the racist attitude and terrible service is that the rooms are super small and dirty. Pictures are not accurate at all! At night time you could see prostitutes coming in and out of the hotel too. This was mentioned by other reviewers too! Awful Awful experience. If i wasn't sure they wouldnt refund me my money I WOULD NOT HAVE STAYED!…
