Great hotel! 8 min walk from train station. Hotel is modern with clean rooms. Staff were helpful and friendly. Didn’t eat breakfast because it was too expensive but found a nice cafe with great food in walking distance.

The hotel is reasonably good. The parking was full and I had to go to the hotels parking garage for 20 euro per night, but ok your in a bog city, so that was for me not a big problem. What did ruin my stay was the man that managed the breakfast. I got some bread and a coffee and discoverred that I had no cutterly. So my colleague told me that I could get it at the back of the buffet near the bread. The moment that I touched the pouch with inside the knife in fork, this person was jelling at me and basicly the breakfast came to a stand still with all eyes on me. So I replied that I had no cutterly and that I he shouted in German that he had just put in on my table. How I was suppose to know this, no idea, but not a nice start of the morning. So I went back to my table and my colleague asked me if all this was directed at me. I was acknowlidging and just when we were continuing breakfast, a woman and a man where within half of a meter of our table hughing each other extensively. My colleague said with big eyes to me how is this possible? I looked over my shoulder and it was the man that just shouted and barked at me! Unbelievable, covid is apparantly a selective problem. Hopefully next time I will have better experience, I certainly will not be able to restrain myself in the same manner as yesterday.

Severe language barrier in reception when checking in, so the process took ages. There was only me at the time, so can't imagine what it would be like with a lot of people there. I had a privilege room, which should come with tea and coffee making facilities. Unfortunately that did not include a kettle, but just a small coffee machine with 2 coffee capsules and two for tea. The machine made terrible coffee, so I asked in reception and was promised to borrow a kettle. After just 2 phone calls and an actual visit to reception, the kettle finally arrived, and I could go out to the nearest supermarket and buy myself coffee powder and tea bags!!! I think this was quite appauling for a four star hotel. However, the room itself was okay, and came with a free minibar containing beer, soft drinks, some oreo bisquits and Haribo bears. Some of the items were replenished during my stay (4 nights), and some were not. Breakfast was decent with good coffee and plenty to chose from. However I would not recommend the small bar in the lobby. Very high prices and the bartender had never heard of an Irish coffee . I could only laugh :) All in all I would not stay here again or recommend the hotel to others. The one thing I would like to praise was the man in reception on eht day I was leaving. Pleasant, polite and with excellent English he took me through the process in no time, and with a smile.

Noisy road, very limited Gluten free and vegetarian menu, so that was very disappointing. I suppose I was expecting more from a Mercure hotel. On top of this we we're charged twice for breakfast - 80 euro is a lot for breakfast for two persons!!! We did sleep well however, bed was comfy, room clean and it was good value for money.

Excellent check-in, Privilege room with very comfortable bed. Rooms are a bit small for privilege but have a big LCD TV. The coffee machine wasn't working well, seemed old and overused and abused! The AC on the room is not effective, sometimes to hot, could not find the right temperature. Location is fine, not city center but close. Breakfast was chaotic, only 1 auto coffee maker for all guests available!!! How is that possible?? No fresh juice. No Choco Croissants! A fail for me!! A pancake machine that takes too long to make 1 small one. The staff is very friendly and full of young people which obviously may be the cause for some chaotic moments during breakfast. The staff should be more diverse in terms of age so that the older can pass the experience to the younger generations, I did not appreciate that at all because it gives a bad impression from the management. Overall it was a nice stay.
