We have come frequently to Hotel Rosengarten for many years, and always look forward to the next stay. A small and quiet hotel with a big heart, to put it short. There is no restaurant on the hotel, but within 3 to 20 mins walk, you have an excelent choise of restaurants from family type to gourmet. The breakfast buffet is really nice with homemade marmelade.
I have been coming to this well run hotel at least once a year and have never been disappointed in the service, attention to detail and the excellent breakfast. You can reach the Center of Hamburg by public transport in about 25 minutes and opposite the hotel one can walk through woods along a small river so it is easy to get some exercise away from the traffic. There is also free parking. Meike Randel the Manager (Owner) speaks English and the mainly young staff do as well. There are many guests like me who come again and again. Last but not least, the rooms are very reasonably priced by Hamburg standards. Gerda Webb

It has a familiar atmosphere which reminded me a lot of the beautiful B&B's in New Zealand and it makes you feel home. The room are nice and clean and for the short stay big enough. I enjoyed to start the day in the beautiful breakfast room with a nice continental breakfast buffet - you can also order some delicious cooked breakfast. Daily newspapers are available but eventually you will have to leave ... WLAN is available for free but (at least in my room) mobile phone reception was not optimum which sometimes may be a benefit.…
