The room is nicely sized and well made, on the other hand the view...was not great...to say the least. The "double bed" we asked for was 2 single beds combined - not great. Breakfast was real nice. Staff was great. Good overall.

This hotel is a a bit of a hole in all honesty. The rooms are small there's no air con. The whole place has a very tired feel to it. But it does have one redeeming feature. It is right in the middle of the Reeperbahn. Very convenient. Although this can make it very noisy during the festival.

I booked this hotel 4 months in advance and asked for a quiet room. I was put on the 2nd floor facing the main road. I got lucky as it rained the whole time I was there. Even with that the street noise even with the rain the first night was loud so to disturb sleep. The night person when...

We stayed in the Monopol in May for a retirement do, this hotel offers a clean, friendly and great value for money service. It is centrally located on the Reeperbahn and a great base for exploring the local area, it's bar offers a great selection of beers and breakfast can be purchased at an extra cost. The hotel is only...

Just had a great 4 night stay at the monopol. Very clean, nice bar and restaurant, polite helpful staff. Right in the middle of the action,so there is a lot of noise. We had a high floor so it was fairly quiet. We want to see the wacken heavy metal festival and also to explore Hamburg. Monopol is a great base for...

Excellent hotel, clean, tidy and comfortable, bedrooms, bathrooms immaculate cleaned everyday. In the heart of the Reeperbahn district of St Pauli Hamburg. two minutes walk from the underground, great transport links. Many sex shops close by but hey they won't bother you unless you go in them! Nightlife was awesome, people so friendly. One of the best cities I have...

Excellent hotel, although it is in the center of the "red light district". Lots of sex shops everywhere. But the good news is that it's well located; walking distance to the harbor and all the tours there, great food nearby... and very close to the U-Bahn and the S-Bahn (underground and subway). We didn't love the area where it actually...

Hotel Monopol is a good hotel in the most happening place of Hamburg. Just down the street we have the buzzing streets of St. Pauly. Just keep one thing thing is mind, do not get cheated at the clubs there, they try to offer you some drink and then charge you exorbitant price. So confirm the cost of your drink...
