Fantastic stay in this hotel. It is situated in a quiet part of Hamburg but it is still easy to access the city centre very easily by bus or if like me you can walk it. The hotel has very unusual decor tht just adds to the charm of the place. The rooms are comfortable especially room 42 which gives...

We pulled up to the Mettelweg and we were not disappointed, this charming boutique hotel was located in a beautiful part of Hamburg surrounded by historic homes, close to parks and transport. Parking is at the rear of the building and is easily accessible. Upon entry to the hotel we were warmly greeted and were excited to find our room...

The area is quiet, a few minutes walk from the Metro and about 10-15 minutes walk to restaurants. The hotel is a large property - sweeping staircase, interesting items of decor, paintings, etc. Welcome was warm and friendly. Breakfast was a good continental selection in an interesting room. It's a good place to stay but maybe not the best choice...

If you are looking for a hotel which isn't a typical business hotel you are perfectly right at Hotel Mittelweg. The rooms are nice and the staff friendly. By bus it tooks you only a few minutes to the city center. Only the breakfast varierty could be a bit better and the places are limited. Overall a good place to...

Every now and again it is rather nice to go somewhere that doesn't have a polished marble lobby with glass swing doors and fawning porters. This Hotel is a beautiful villa in a rather smart and quiet part of Hamburg with a lovely garden and parking at the back. The feel is of a smart pre-war villa and the decor...

Stayed here for 3 nights.easily accessible from Ubahn station.Lovely quirky decoration...slightly old fashioned but thats its charm. Lovely easter decorations too.Breakfast was good value and plenty of choice.Pleasant staff who were only too happy to be of assistance. Only downside was lack of tea /coffee making facilities..but didnt spoil our stay.

The Hotel is located in an old Hanseatic building in Harvestehude. My room was on the top floor. Although being on a busy street - there was hardly a noise from outside. The toilet was a little bit small but it was okay. The personal was very helpful. By the way: A bus stop is right in front of the...

I stayed here twice in 2014, each time for two nights, in July and November. On both occasions I had a pleasant stay. The staff were friendly and helpful and they have a lovely little well behaved dog too. The single rooms I stayed in were small but completely adequate in size, and comfortable. The decor is old-fashioned and I...

We had a lovely but much too brief stay. Not for those who want every modern convenience at hand but perfect for those who want a glimpse of charm and wonderful German hospitality in a beautiful setting. We felt as if we were welcomed guests of dear friends. Traveled with my two twenty something children and they were equally as...

I am told that this area where hotel Mittelweg is situated is one of those which was not destroyed in the 2nd WW by the allied forces, and that is how its fantastic villas, buildings, mansions and other beauties are still there. Mittelweg-59 is one of them. With 30 rooms maintained in a classical style it feels good to stay...

“There are rooms on the basement level -- which do have large, openable windows. I've always asked not to have one though.”

“Our room faced the garden. I understand the rooms on higher floors are more gracious but we had tons of luggage coming off a cruise so we were happy to have first floor. Small bathrooms and no air conditioning but for us it added to the charm.”
