Take a L-studio and enjoy the beautiful decoration. Plenty of place. Water and good coffee are available. Heat wave? No problem because there is a perfect airco. The bed is also fine and the room notice proof. What do you want more? The staff is very friendly, the bar invites you to take every night a drink. Breakfast also very good. Very good measures against Corona. Location is near the station, city center and Harbour. I keep singing praises. You don't have a lot of hotels where you feel at home and where you don't want to leave. Henri is one of these. Vielen Dank!

Check in first. Two staff, but only one person checking in and a queue. It took a while and wasn’t efficient. The room. I booked a suite so the space was fine but... I was there three nights and still couldn’t figure the lights and how to switch the ones I wanted on ! The shower was nice but had little spurts of cold water in. The kitchenette was pointless. No cutlery or pans, but a hob and plates. Really pointless. Other than that I enjoyed the place and the central location too.

This is the second time I have stayed at Hotel Henri. Last year with a friend and this year by myself. It is so much more interesting to stay here, in my opinion, than standard hotels with no character. I love the decor, the room layout, the lounge area where people quietly go about their business whether it be reading the papers provided, working on their laptops, having a quiet drink or chat. It has a refined but friendly atmosphere. I like the fact that you can help yourself to the fridge with beverages, icecream etc and charge them to your room. The €5 mid week evening meals are really tasty and convenient and the breakfast buffet had everything you would want. Next door there is a great Burger restaurant which I only tried on my last night but I would go there again given the chance. I liked the fact that it is easy walking distance to the station yet is in a safe area, close to lots of great shops, buses etc. This time I found a great coffee shop just around the corner as well - Rösterei. I am already planning my 3rd visit, so don't change anything, Hotel Henri!

I felt I traveled 40 years back in time, but the standard was up to date. Really friendly staff, and the hotel is located close to the central station. It was very quiet, but I would have loved a little thicker top mattress on the bed. Be aware, the coffee and tea on the room was quite expensive.

Hello Frederik, thank you very much for the great review about our HENRI HOTEL HAMBURG as well as the comment concerning the mattresses, as so often with mattresses it is always a matter of taste, one likes it softer, the other a little harder. Anyway, in the coming weeks we will certainly increase the sleeping comfort with great new toppers. We are a little surprised about your statement that the prices for coffee and tea in the room are very high... especially as we offer them free of charge to our guests. We can only imagine that you mean the list of prices from our bar in the lounge area? But even there we have very fair prices - a great organic cappuccino costs just 2,40Euro... In any case, we would be very happy to welcome you again soon. Best regards - Jan Schwarzer - Hotel Manager

cute hotel, TERRIBLE service ! We checked in for a weekend in Hamburg, the hotel is pretty well situated close to the main train station as well as the Rathaus square. Unfortunately we were not satisfied with our stay! Kindly note that the hotel is very loudy, you can hear your neighbors all the time. We kindly requested a room on top floor before our arrival ; they gave us one on the first floor !! We couldn’t relax in the room because there is no carpet on tje floors and our upstairs neighbor was walking 24/7 with heels ! We left a moment ago and were totally ignored by the two girls at the front desk, so we dropped the keys and left. Too bad for us and too bad for you... we won’t come back to your place again in March and you are getting a bad review :/ cheers!

Dear Guest, we take the ratings of our guests very seriously and are grateful for every comment. We could already see your dissatisfaction in all the established portals and regret very much that the stay was not successful in your eyes. Of course it is my job as hotel manager to take care of every little inconsistency and to make the stay of all our guests at the Henri Hotel a positive experience. If we can believe the many reviews, we usually manage this quite well. However, I have to admit that your request for a room on the higher floors was not correctly transferred to our internal booking system and therefore your wish could not be fulfilled. This must not and should not happen. Excuse us! Concerning your stay: I have spoken to all colleagues who welcomed, cared for and farewelled you during your stay. Our colleague welcomed you warmly and also informed you that in case of praise or blame we are always there for you -24/7! As we did not receive any information about loud noises or the dissatisfaction described here during the following two days, we assume that it was not so bad all around. At peak times it can of course happen that you may have to wait a short moment for our HENRI HOSTS, but in this case we will be there for you with full attention directly afterwards. We wish you more success with your coming hotel stays and send our best regards to Switzerland. Jan Schwarzer Hotel Manager
