Stayed for a weekend with my wife, both experienced and well travelled worldwide fir over 30 years.....This hotel is truly exceptional, great ambiance, great hotel staff and superbly appointed rooms that are both stylish, comfortable and immaculately presented. We were immediately upgraded on arrival ( possibly due to this being our first visit ), and the service we received ensured it won’t be long before we find an excuse to return.
This Hotel is really top Class in so many things! The creator knew how to think out of the box while creating the idea of this place. This is our 7’th stay at this hotel, and we will continue!! Hotel room: -quite -romantic -design -really good minibar -big bathtub -water +glass for wine and water/drink -dark when sleeping -room service -air conditioning + floor heating Breakfast: -creative made -really good cappuccino -really good bread -champagne -low light (sooo enjoyable) -weekends until 2pm (14:00) AMAZING we really love it 😍 😍 Check in/out: -really service minded people -ability to buy some nice stuff (we bought some drinking glass)
we‘ve been there for a night in a suite. from the outside the hotel looks quite normal but as soon as you enter you will be surprised. lounge atmosphere in the lobby with bar just next to you. design is about brick walls paired with design items and red samt sofas. the hotel room featured a bed in the middle of the room with bath installation (also free in the room) just next to it. huge tube, floor heating, office desk, mini bar, safe all in the remarkable large room...clean, quite and just next door to Reeperbahn. A place to come back... note: breakfast buffet closed at 9am but more expensive brunch buffet was of course available
I stayed in this hotel for business trip and had an amazing experience. Beautiful newly renovated industrial style rooms very big with an amazing outlook. Restaurant had a very nice outlook and warm atmosphere, food was superb. Spa was only sauna and relaxing room but was quiet and relaxing. I got a massage and was very pleasant experience, very recommended!! The area is nice so you can find other restaurants in the area and walk withing 5 minutes to the harbor and 20min to the city center.
Stayed for a long weekend, and was initially enchanted by the hotels design, especially the restaurant area. It’s location was fairly good, it’s just off the Reeperbahn but you can avoid the nightlife, and head down the road to st Pauli station directly if you wish. One thing to be mindful of if you’re a tourist is that this hotel’s restaurant and bar gets busier than any other hotel restaurant I’ve seen with non guests - so if you’re checking in late, take the left entrance path to avoid getting stuck behind large groups of business-folk having drinks. The large bath was wonderful as was the breakfast - if a little on the overpriced side. I was expecting the hotel to be more refined than it turned out to be, it had some really unique things but was still too rough around the edges to be worth going back for the next trip to Hamburg. You also get a room tablet instead of a phone, but there are some bugs with the app, and you’re still better off going to the front desk in person. We ordered room service once, found the food to be good quality but not enough to make us want to dine at the restaurant for the rest of our stay. Our room was non smoking but had a lingering stale-cigarette scent, the pillows on offer were incredibly flat and uncomfortable, and the double bed had two smaller than single duvets on them. (Just something to be aware of for those like us, not accustomed to the single duvets!) The courtyard outside whilst it looks beautiful, means that other hotel guests will be walking up and down the metal stairs in the middle of the night- be weary if you are facing that side, it can get a little noisy. Staff on the desk both for checking in and out were pretty sour and put out, with the exception of a lovely woman who I thankfully once got to speak to instead of the grumpier men. Bar, restaurant and housekeeping staff all really pleasant. Also another oddity that I haven’t seen before- no kettle or coffee machine in the room- as a British person this was a little bit of a shock. Just beware! And to echo someone else’s review- there’s water and some small bottle of wine put out on the side, We didn’t see the wine on the minibar menu and it was with the free water so we opened it before realising it was a) awful and b)€20 - don’t make our mistake! Overall our experience wouldn’t take us back to East hotel, very pricey for an unspectacular experience. Take your own pillows! …
