I really loved this place. Built in an old hospital, this B&B in the middle of Hamburg was quirky, original and felt like a home from home. It's not a B&B in the traditional sense of the term - no reception or greeting on arrival, no breakfast (unless pre-ordered which I didn't do), shared bathrooms, and bedrooms inside what feels...

Only a short walk from the vibrant St Pauli district & the Reeperbahn; Hadley's is a wonderful, quiet B&B with a unique feel. Though I would echo the comments in other reviews RE: the poor insulation, it really was a small blot on the copybook of an otherwise excellent stay. The rooms are very tastefully put together & the duplex...

Very nice B&B, with a lot of character in a beautiful, quiet area. The building is badly sound insulated which is unfortunate. We stayed in room 5 which is right next to the showers in the bathrooms and the noise in the mornings was insane - waking us up as if someone was drilling into the wall every time someone...

Hadley is a cozy stay. The rooms are very special equipped. You feel like in a your private flat sharing room as if it is your room. The bed is in kind of a loft bed because room ceilings are quite high it is a nice idea but climbing the ledder when you are drunk is a a bit hard....

Coming from the airport we got the tube to Schlump which was easy enough, when we came out of the station however we got lost! The street numbers were going down which threw us abit, and thinking we were lost we turned around (we were in fact goin the right way!) We asked the locals and were back on the...

Positives : - Very interesting rooms with stylish, artistic decor of the rooms and, indeed, the whole establishment - The room is split level, and to access the bed area, you need to climb up a ladder, which I found different and fun - The high ceilings make the split level arrangement possible and have the added benefit of making...

Nice, frugal and quite artsy way to spend two nights in Hamburg

It started not so well, when, walking towards Beim Schlump (where Hadley’s B&B is located) from the city centre via Bundesstrasse we docilely followed the street sign indicating numbers 31 and upwards, and turned left where we should have turned right. We ended up on the wrong side of Beim Schlump and had to walk all the way to the...

We went to Hamburg for New Years Eve and stayed for four nights in Hadley's. Everything was as described, the old hospital building has been beautifully converted with big doors and high ceilinged rooms. Ours had a mezzanine with the double bed up on it. While a bit hotter up there than in the room below, the heating was easy...
