This is one of the most overrated place, with no basic amenities whatsoever. They show you false claims of breakfast/Tea, WiFi, TV & all.Infact, if you want to watch TV than you need to stand in front of it, as they have no arrangement for sitting, ROFL. Pathetic service & attitude towards their guests. Moreover, they want the entire amount of the stay before checkout, inspite of charging 90% in advance, which have never seen elsewhere. Would not recommend anyone to waste their time & money on such ridiculous place.

Dear Guest, we feel very sorry about your bad feedback. First we want to make sure, that we never charge 90% upfront. Maybe you can give us your reservation number that we can check that. Your credt card is just for our insurance in case you wouldnt arrive in our hotel. Maybe you missunderstood something.

Stayed here for one night, for business travel. But will definitely stay again. The rooms are large and sober. And the finishing is of superior quality. The terrace offers amazing views over the port of Hamburg. Don't consider this place as a full service hotel, but rather as a discrete hideaway for exploring Hamburg at your owne pace!

We loved our stay at Rainvilles Elbterrassen! The hotel is very small (6 rooms), and actually feels like an extension of the restaurant rather than the other way around. Even finding the entrance proved to be quite tricky. However, when we finally got the room it was absolutely great. The rooms are very large and well put together. From the room you can access the (big) roof terrace right outside where you can enjoy a cup of coffee or just hang out. Please note though, that you share the terrace with the other 5 rooms - but its spacious enough to not be a problem. The staff was very friendly, despite some occasional challenges in finding a mutual language. Even the language barrier was easily overcome by friendly willingness to try their best. I would easily recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to this location.
