While this hotel is in a great location, it really needs some love and attention. There is no bar for drinks (or if there was, it was constantly closed), no food other than an expensive vending machine and even the coffee had to be paid for - even though it was only a small machine, not freshly brewed or anything. There is a free drinking water dispenser though.

The rooms are generally clean, but very dated and need a proper refresh (and a deep clean would be great!). The TV is mounted in the corner of the room next to the window and is quite small by today's standards (27" matbe?), I didn't even bother turning it on. The bed was perfectly comfortable although it had two single sheets rather than one double. The curtains / window coverings where also a bit threadbare and didn't really fit the windows, but this follows the general condition of the rooms. There were electric shutters on the outside that you could close which gave some privacy / darkness.

The staff were very friendly and courteous.

Whilst the location is great for getting around (right next to the HBf and a 10 minute walk to the Messe), the streets are very dirty and it is very close to the red light area. It's also a prolific drug area - so be careful if going out when it's dark. However, the main street is only two blocks over and there is a wide variety of great quailty places to eat and drink.

All in all, if you aren't too fussy, want somewhere cheap to sleep and shower, then the Savoy is fine. If you're on holiday and looking for more of a 'hotel' experience, look elsewhere - you'd be disappointed with anything more than a couple of nights here.

I recently stayed at the Savoy Hotel in Frankfurt, and unfortunately, there was nothing particularly special about my experience. The first thing that struck me was the size of the rooms. They were tiny, which was quite disappointing. I had expected a bit more space and comfort.

To add to my disappointment, I was given a smoking room, and I was not aware that smoking rooms were still in vogue. The lingering scent of smoke in the room was not pleasant, and it certainly didn't contribute to a comfortable stay.

The only saving grace is its location. It's conveniently situated right in front of the train station, making it a convenient choice for travellers who need easy access to transportation.

In summary, while the location of the Savoy Hotel in Frankfurt is its saving grace, the small rooms and the availability of smoking rooms left a lot to be desired. I hope the hotel considers modernizing its rooms and making them more comfortable for guests in the future.

Conveniently located opposite the main station the Savoy has not changed or undergone any renovations. Besides the convenience of location it still is a clean and value for money place however the breakfast spread is no longer available. No breakfast is available and you can go to the hotel next door for breakfast at an extra payment of 12.50 € or make your own arrangements.

I have been here years before . Alas I should have paid attention to the reviews.
There was a bucket collecting the drip from the ceiling . The floars in the lifts were cracked and broken the hallway,s had super click tyles lifting up from the floar . In some places they were collected and stacked to stop people tripping over them . The carpets in the rooms were stained and sticky in spots( badly needing to be steam cleaned. The locks on the rooms needed the keys to be fixed repeatly every day. The swimming bool was not available. The place is sad and would not make it as a 2 star hoten .never mind a 4

I will say that this place is very average but for a budget traveler its a good stop. The highlilghts are that it is in an excellent location near many restaurants and the town center. A short walk to the museum row and the cathedral. There is paid parking nearby but its not cheap, like 35 euro a day but i guess thats pretty standard. The rooms are small, but just fine if you don't need anything fancy. Theres a small fridge stocked with some drinks you can pay for at reasonable prices. They refill it every day you don't have to ask them to. The beds were fine although we got put in a room (randomly assigned) with two twins they shoved together for my partner and I which was kind of funny honestly. The comforters were pretty cozy actually. The bathroom was the major hang up with the shower head hung precariously at chest level and the back of the showerhead leaking like a spray hose back at you when pointing the nozzle away. This place isn't anything fancy and I don't suggest it for a romantic weekend out but if you're just trying to find a place to crash and need a warm bed it works just fine and won't cost you too much.

Convenient location just opposite the central station. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Though not very spacious, adequate room space with basic amenities which are airy and well lit.The free mini bar is a surprise add on and is replenished daily.
The breakfast was not served in the hotel premises but one had to walk to the adjacent Novuum Continental Hotel for it
Buffet breakfast,not lavish, but adequate,with cereals,salad,eggs,cold cuts,cheese and bread, juices,tea and coffee.
Recommended for business travellers as well as families.

This hotel has definitely seen better days: skirting boards are off in the corridors, rooms are VERY basic, thin duvets/comforters, threadbare towels. Average shower and bathroom. On the up side though, 200m from Frankfurt Main station, O’Reillys Irish pub nearby, old town and river in walking distance. I asked about my room having 2 single beds and was given a free upgrade to a room with double bed, and air con - thank you!!! Overall, not the most inspiring place, hard bed, but very handy for a short stay if you need to be near the station.

Hands down the worst most run down hotel I’ve ever stayed in, after 3 weeks of travelling Europe staying in 8 Different hotels , ending our last night in Europe at the Savoy was disappointing , booking on line months earlier the pictures on the website and self given 4 stars was very misleading , the shower cubicle door was missing so a poorly hung shower curtain used in its place , shower head and libd broken , carpet peeling off the floor, wall boards crumbling , stained walls and wall paper, shower cubicle mouldy , to top it off Room AC self switched off at 1am when it was 35 degrees Celsius with no way to turn it back on , Cable TV lost signal every 3 minutes and took 5 minutes or more to come back on. To finish the review we were hoping the badly stained carpet by the table was Indian curry ? Or if not human waste , we hoped it was the first ,

This hotel is on its last legs.

I was unable to open the door of the room.

The floors were coming apart. The elevators or lifts creaky.

Went down to reception.

Was given another key.

Wass met by the stench of urine when I unlocked the door to the second room.

Went back down to reception.

The key to the third room, once again, did not unlock.

The young man at the reception was very pleasant and really tried to help, but after these incidents and traveling as a single woman I went to stay at the five star hotel next door. Felt safer there.

Cheap and cheerful hotel, not a lot of facilities to use bar is closed and nothing in the rooms not even the makings of a cup of tea, floors on the 6th floor where in bits all broken tiles, quite dangerous.
Location is horrible especially for a girl or on your own would not recommend it is near a lot of public transport etc but the area is not nice and area surrounding the hotel is filthy.
Staff were not friendly or helpful just checked you in and nothing else.

You could deal with the hotel If needed and on a budget if the location was different pity.

I did not use the pool or the sauna. I would think those amenities are available to guests who are STAYING there. You'll have to contact the Savoy. I wasn't very impressed with the hotel. It needs A LOT of work.

Dear Janka, I don't know your areas of interest. But I can say that it is close to the Main River and more important is that the location of the hotel is so close to the Hauptbahnhof ( which is a main station, where all the lines are crossing), so that you can easily go whereever you want by public transportation easily.

Dear travelers in Frankfurt! Savoy hotel is in front of Frankfurt Central Station, just 1 minutes walking. From the hotel, you can walk to the Main River. On the riverside, some museums there. My favorite museum is ① "Stadel". just 8 minutes walking from the hotel. ② Main Cruising ③ 1hour city tour by Hop on Hop off bus from the Central Station. I stayed in Frankfurt just 18 hours for the first visit, but I enjoyed all including the old German food dinner at the restaurant cross to the hotel. Very convinient hotel!!
