We stayed at this hotel over the New Year. It is very quaint and typically German in style and in a very central position in the town and Railway station. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a good selection of hot and cold dishes to choose from the breakfast buffet. The only draw-back there was no bar. During the Winter months the outside bar is not open, so it would be nice to have a place to sit and drink, instead of having to stay in your room. The room we had was quite small with a tiny window, but it was very clean, but I understand there were bigger rooms in the hotel.
Stayed during the xmas market and found the Lindenwirt to be a lovely traditional friendly hotel right in the middle of the Drosenglasse.Fabulous carved wooden interior and exterior features are everywhere. they serve a good varied breakfast with both hot and cold dishes. Staff are friendly and efficient with nothing being any problem.. Recommended .
The room was larger than expected plus the bathroom was really nice. It's an easy walk from the train station but I would recommend going past it a few blocks if you're rolling a suitecase as there is a smooth road that goes to the hotel entrance. It's within walking distance to downtown and easy to get to the boat for the river cruise. The rooms have a portable heater in them as it was chilly in there when we were there. The breakfast was really good especially the pastries. We did have to haul our luggage up a flight of stairs which was the only downside.
Only ate here haven't stayed. Choice of menu limited, but we'll presented and enjoyable. Music entertainment is great fun. Meal and drinks for 4 around 78€. Nice to be semi outside, but still enclosed if weather not so good.
This hotel is full of character and beautiful building, in a very nice location. The banquet on New Years Eve was outstanding, when we first discovered it was a buffett we were a little disappointed, but the food was plentiful and of excellent quality. However, the hotel does not have a bar or communal area for socialising, which was very frustrating as the weather wasn’t all that great and it meant we had to go out to a bar to chat (there were 8 of us in our group). So purely on that basis we wouldn’t go back.
