My wife and I and a couple of friends had a lovely meal here. The food choice is varied and caters for most tastes and large and small appetites. Our meals this particularly evening were all different and we all commented how well cooked, presented and importantly tasty!..they were. The service was excellent, always attentive but not intrusive, far above...

Have visited for meals, always been very good. So booked a table of 7 for afternoon tea, a get together of old uni friends. We were not disappointed. The staff were all very welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. The table was beautifully set with small tea cups and saucers, which added to the experience. We were not rushed...

Nothing has changed. Very enjoyable. Lovely food, attentive staff and reasonable prices. Shipyard Pale Ale was excellent. A refreshing grapefruit/lemon taste.; perfect on a sunny afternoon. This was Mothering Sunday and we were lucky to be accomodated without pre booking. We will revisit, hopefully before a year has passed next time.

We missed our turning to where we should have eaten so pulled in here and what a lovely surprise. Wonderful pleasant restaurant and staff. Food was amazing, I had roast beef which melted in your mouth and my husband said the gammon was lovely too. Very friendly staff who couldn't do more. Will certainly go again.

The first country pub we have ever been turned away from because we have a small and well behaved dog. Definitely not dog friendly. It is disappointing to arrive expecting to eat and drink only to be told that you can't.

We stayed for one night on our way to visit friends the room we had was a deluxe which was clean comfortable and a good size the only fault we could find was the overbearing smell of air freshener it smelt like a plug in but we couldn't find it so slept with the window open but everything else was...

I had a 40 % off mains voucher because I am listed by the Faye inns group. Arrived at the holly and have to say although it was quiet there was still a good atmosphere. The food itself was very well cooked and tasty . The service was good and the the price was very good when the voucher was...

Called in for Sunday lunch today we hadn't booked but they fitted us in. I had beef which melted in my mouth, very tasty Yorkshire pudding and vegetables. Lovely clean restaurant and very pleasant staff I would recommend Sunday lunch here.

Great food, menu choices brilliant for time of day. Excellent service. You could choose from a sandwich menu, main menu & afternoon tea. Black pudding sausage lovely, and pork belly tastes on the plate combine beautifully
