I had a meeting in Lancaster all day and then went on to The Holly pub for tea with a colleague/friend. We had the British High Ta. It was lovely. You get mini portions of dishes. We had soup, Lancashire hotpot, fish and chips, black pudding scotch egg, pastries and cakes, all presented on a wooden rack. Add hot scones,...

My boyfriend and I visited for 2 nights this weekend (September 2016). The staff are so helpful and willing to go the extra mile for us, making us feel so welcome and at home! The design is just beautiful, we loved it! We stayed in the deluxe room and it is stunning and for us very reasonably priced! We fell...

Passed here many times And wondered what the food was like. How we wish we had called sooner! We were greeted as we walked in and drink order taken immediately. The menus were full of choice, so much that we needed extra time to choose. Did we choose the lancashire hot pot, or steak, or ribs..... The list went on....

Spent 3 nights at the Pub and everyone was very friendly. The main novelty was the fact there was no breakfast provision. This was probably because the huge extractor fan from the kitchen was just outside the windows of the rooms at the rear of the pub. The fan which was very noisy ran up to about 10.00 pm. So...

On entering the room it smelt clean . Large comfy bed and nicely presented room. Neutrogena complementary toiletries and large fluffy towels in ensuite. Good value for money , we would recommend here . Shame they do not do breakfast though !

We received a voucher in the post for afternoon tea at the Holly. We thought it sounded like good value for money and would give it a try. It was much , much more than we were expecting. Prosecco, tea, sandwiches, scones, dessert and huge amount of yummy cakes for only £7.50 each. AMAZING VALUE!!! The young girl serving us was...

Service was very good they now have call buttons to attract attention. Food was very good but can be a little pricey. Portions size was ok but I think depends on the menu choice. Desert again was very good but could have been bigger. All in all a good venue

Stayed here for an overnight stop over from Scotland in a family room.Staff were very friendly and helpful. Beds were very comfortable and kids loved the free wifi. Shower was really good, best though was the big mugs for coffee rather than stupid little cups you get in some places, perfect after a long drive. Will stay here again

This evening, I had a very nice tea at The New Holly, Forton. The food, drink, and staff were outstanding. It's been a while since I was last here. I had Herbed Mushrooms to start. Belly Pork, with mashed potatoescauliflower puree, crispy panceta, black pudding, red wine sauce as the main course; and sticky toffee pudding with bonoffe ice cream,...
