Stopped off for a bite to eat. There was a small issue with the steak but that was dealt with. My afternoon tea was fab and very filling. Lots to choose from and I had to share as too much for me. Great staff, very friendly and courteous. Will return as was generally a great experience!

We stayed one night, with two kids lovely family room and pleasant staff. Only downside hotel not open for breakfast. Would visit again cheap and good location for access to motorway, Lancaster and university.

Enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea at the New Holly. They offer a choice of three options - traditional (your usual afternoon tea sandwiches), hot sandwiches (chicken, avocado and smoked bacon) or a classic British option ( a taste of the U.K. - mini portions of Fish n Chips, Lancs Hotpot, Black Pudding Scotch Egg n Carrot Soup) We chose the...

Have been to The Hollies on several occasions and always had a most enjoyable meal. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The service is really good. The venue is nice and clean. There is a lot of choice on the menu at very reasonable prices. The portion sizes are just right. Would recommend.

We were staying at the Travelodge about a mile away and needed somewhere to eat. The pub had a nice ambience and wide choice of menu. We had gammon, salmon and beef stroganoff. All were lovely and very tasty. The service was excellent with all the staff especially Dan and Beth. Would highly recommend. My husband said the millionaire shortbread...

Stopped for lunch with my wife after several months of driving past and saying we should try it. The place was quiet and fairly welcoming. We ordered two courses, my wife ordered a quiche starter which looked and tasted ghastly, I had satay chicken skewers which were okay but almost cold. We weren't asked at any point if we were...

This restaurant used to be a friendly, local pub and now it looks more like a chain restaurant (which it is!) the food however has always been delicious and the portion sizes are great. However every time I have visited, and I'm local... There are hardly any customers, there has been no music, the fires haven't been on - even...

Last visited this pub in 1985. Very different. Unrecognisable. Efficient service, lovely plentiful food and reasonable prices. Lots of seating space and nicely decorated throughout. We would most likely revisit in the future and especially in summer to sit outside .

I have been to all the Fayre Inns and can recommend the New Holly as the best of them. Prompt service with a smile from Rachel, and wonderful comfort food. There is nothing light about the portion size of the lunchtime 'Lite's menu' which is very good value for money.

Went here on the 13th for our pre valentines meal and really did not get a good feel for this place at all. We were put in a corner and our view was a wooden partition and the backs of other diners. The restaurant felt cold and there was a fire but it was not kept tended. The meals were...
