Congress Hotel Am Stadtpark is located right by the Congress Centre, connected by an underground tunnel or a very short walk outside. So it is perfectly-placed if you are at a conference. The staff is pleasant and friendly, the hotel is very comfortable.
The rooms were clean and spacious. The in-hotel restaurant DEINS has nice food - although is a bit expensive (most dishes around EUR 20), and the menu is a bit limited (very few salads or non-carnivorous options - heavy on burgers, steak, other meats). Breakfast on the first floor is very good indeed, with lots of choice. I didn't try the Park Restaurant, located in the congress building. It looked like more of an institutional-type restaurant (not much ambience, not-so exciting a menu). But it was light, airy and with a good view of the park.
And - best of all - in the hotel there is a small swimming pool up on the top floor, with panoramic view. Also a spa, sauna, and very small gym. Very welcome after a long day in conference! The Stadtpark right outside the hotel makes for nice views, a peaceful ambience, and is good for walks and running.
I am not sure that I would stay at the hotel if I weren't at a conference. In this context, Slow Food stands for products with an authentic character (regional, seasonal) that are produced and enjoyed in a traditional or original way. These products are not available at discount prices and we ask for your understanding. In our restaurant DEINS we offer delicious meat and fish dishes from a covered MIBRASA charcoal oven from Spain. The Mediterranean cuisine also offers changing daily specials from all cuisines around the globe. The deliberate focus is on meat and not on a random menu as it is typical for a hotel restaurant. In addition, however, we offer five vegetarian dishes (without meat/fish). We communicate this in our marketing efforts. We booked two rooms for our family of five in the Congess Hotel Stadpark for a World Cup game we were attending. The hotel was quite full. Like most rooms we expereinced in Germany, there was no air confitioning and the rooms were smaller, but clean. The hotel overall was clean and the service was very helpful. The hotel is located in a nice part of town next to a large park and near the zoo. There is a surface train stop about 100 meters from the entrance to the hotel so getting around was no problem. The hotel also has free parking. The only negative from our visit was the faint smell of spilled beer in one of the two rooms we rented. We did not have breakfast at the hote as it was 10+ Euro per person and we could not get our value with three kidsl. We paid under 70 Euro for the each room; an excellent value given that our stay was during a World Cup game.

The best thing is the location to Congress Zentrum Hannover. Unfortunately, others left much to be desired.
The single rooms are small, even smaller than Motel One standard with only a single bed and an extremely small bathroom. The room smelled musty the whole 2 days, long black hair in the sink on arrival did not awaken confidence in the cleanliness. The air conditioning mostly did not work. Cleanliness was ok.
A private stay I would not plan and implement here, as all in all is not offered good value for money.

I stayed here for a convention in January 20. We all found the hotel to be well appointed, with friendly and English-speaking staff. It is right next door to the Congress Centre which may make it a bit pricey but the views from the 11th floor were stunning (it goes up to 18, I think). Definitely worth staying again. Also just 20 minutes' walk from the Orthodox Synagogue.

Nice stay. Nice tiny room with all comforts for a business trip. Fantastic breakfast buffet. Most of all, you can have a walk or a run in the public park that is just outside the hotel. A good start for a busy day.

The hotel is a high-story building made from concrete, which does not look too pretty, but inside the hotel is very decent. Too bad we did not test the pool as it was closed for maintenance. The hotel is next to the large Stadtpark which we did not explore but apparently should be great for strolls.
The hotel situates in an area that is not populated by shops or eateries. A cafe and doner place is approx 10 mins walk. A gas station (7 min walk) can supply basic coffee, a croissant or bread for breakfast, and some snacks. To leave this food-deserted area you can, however, take U11 tram that will take you to the railway station in 10 mins (+400m walk).
The hotel has free parking (I am not sure what is the max capacity) and it seems that you can park also nearby should the need arise.
The hotel is not your first choice if you need to explore the city, perhaps, but is excellent for any event in the Hannover Congress Centre or, as in our case, in a remote location reachable by car. We would need to go to Hindelsheim and the hotel was perfect for us to take fast roads and lead us there in 25 minutes. From the city center, our drive would be 15 mins longer.
The hotel provides iron and (somewhat reluctantly) a kettle. First, we were informed that hot water was available maybe from the bar but later a kettle was provided. The dryer in the bathroom is, as it happens very often, notoriously weak. A shaving kit was provided by request. There is a PC with a printer available at the lobby.
This is not a show-stopper, but I like to mention that the hotel follows a rather dated practice of trying to charge for the fast internet. The available speed is 2Mbit for free. The high speed *maybe* (or so I perceived from German posters in the elevator) possible if you book straight via hotel's website but not via aggregators (hotels.com in my case). However, nowadays you'd never arrive to the hotel website first... The breakfast, if I recall correctly, was 20+ euro per person, which is unusually high even in Germany, where pricey breakfast is a custom. So, gas station to the rescue.
Air conditioning was solid and no problem here.
All in all, we were satisfied with the hotel very much, as it catered for our needs. We arrived from the airport by car and left back to the airport by public transport and in both cases, it was a very reasonable connection - not the same by the time spent but not inconvenient.

Everything was really very very good. I would have said perfect if there had not been 1 thing: doorstep to bathroom was too high. I would expect not to have any doorstep from room to bathroom from safety point of view especially when staying in hotel is actually a new environment for anyone and if you go to bathroom during night it might be dangerous. Everything else including amazing breakfast choice and restaurant was just very very very good.

A very comfortable hotel near the Fair ground in Hannover. Very good price quality relation. The service in the restaurant is very slow. Had to wait over 30 minutes before the first dish was delivered. (bread Basket) and over 20 minutes for the Main Course (Asparagus with steak)

I stayed 2 nights at the Congress Hotel Am Stadtpark.
The hotel is about 3-4 kilometers out of Hannover downtown. It is super clean and has a modern look. You will find plenty of space to park and the room are comfortable with safe, super modern bathroom.
It is a congress hotel, so like you are there on busines, they have two Wifi, one that is free with basic speed (read it does not work, I was not even able to do a Skype call or to go to websites) and one will high speed (the one you will need). They will charge you a few Euros to get on the high speed (which is normal speed).
I was registering when I was offered breakfast vouchers for 18 Euros. I signed their paper to say I accepted the breakfast and then realized it was 18 Euros per day per person. We were 3 people, so that was 54 Euros per day. When I said I changed my mind and would not take the vouchers, just after signing, I was told it was too late. Why is it too late if I didn't pay for it and I have not consumed the goods and service?
At night you can go to the bar, but expect no service, the staff will simply ignore you and when you ask for something you feel like you are bothering them.
I would not return, bad experience.

Dear Guest, Thanks for your stay. We are sorry that you were not happy. Of course, we offer two wifi sets. One is free with 258kb up to 2MBit. The other one is up to 150MBit by pay on demand. The cost is 9,50€ per 24h. The averrage rate for Hannover is 8,80€/24h and we offer a very high end wifi. The set with free wifi for basics (emailing, web) and with an pay on demand (streaming, skype) is usual in german hotels. Our breakfast cost is 18,-€ per day (an american hotel chain in Hannover for example 19,-€) and it is not possible to cancel it after check in and after you bought it. The price for breakfast in hotels is always mentioned per day per person - so nothing new about this. The situation you mentioned will be checked.
