Hotel 4 of 6 on my Euro trip. I originally booked 3 nights here but due to a German railway strike I only stayed 2 nights and the hotel kept the room for me although still charged me 3 nights city tax but fair enough I originally booked 3 nights. After a long 9 hour journey I arrived and saw the glowing red lights on the outdoor area and thought to myself won't that be a nice place to relax for a few beers before heading to bed After I checked in and dropped my bags at 10:30 I headed downstairs for a beer only to be informed that yes I can have a beer but they close at 11pm. Ok, fair enough but at this stage I had a thirst of a thousand camels so had my beer rapidly and ordered another to be told that's my last one. At 10:45 I arrived back in to hopefully get another beer but the counter was empty. I asked at reception if the girl was still around and she eventually came at 10:50. Asked for a beer and was told she'd just cleaned up and was finished. When I pointed out the time she relented and begrudgingly gave me a beer which I finished before the ridiculous 11pm curfew. Bear in mind I did tell her I was a resident and enquired about a residents bar. This annoyed me so much that I could find no other positives in the hotel. First impressions and all that. My room was a twin with the smallest single beds I've ever encountered on any of my trips. It was also very cold with no obvious way to control the temperature and I ended up using the other blanket from the single bed beside me just to keep warm. The TV was tiny and outdated, there was hardly any plug sockets for charging devices except those that you had to move furniture to reach, the shower was ok but don't expect a deep scrub! There was a desk with a view of a wall and a welcome guide that was empty except for a flyer that you'd pick up in the lobby anyways. No blackout curtains which didn't really matter as the light couldn't reach the window due to the view being a wall The only positive was a complimentary mini bar with some beers, juice, water and peanuts. The location is also excellent directly across from the main station and that is why it gets an extra Star. I probably would have tried breakfast but due to the first nights debacle I didn't bother. Overall a disappointing stay and only for I got a good rate on hotels.com Vs paying their direct rates I would never have stepped foot on this premises. This may have been the worst hotel of my trip so far. What was once I'm sure was a grand hotel in it's day is in need of serious renovation especially with modern funky hotels such as the prizotel and premier Inn on the opposite side of the station for half the price. If you can't provide grandeur and least provide the basics.

For those used to 5* experience the rooms maybe a little small, however they have been decorated in sympathy with the building. Entering the hotel directly opposite the main Hannover station you enter a bright reception area. A small sitting area is available to read or watch the world go by. Behind this is the bar, leading to the restaurant and the Central Cafe. Each of the socialising areas are on different levels, and although there is a lift to the rooms, I would not recommend for people with mobility problems. Food in the restaurant is first class and the service is excellent - even though the restaurant was busy the staff remained calm, professional and friendly. Breakfast is in the Central Cafe, but the best tables are often reserved for ‘outside guests/parties’, so hotel guests have to sit on the lower deck which has little natural light.

The Kaiserhof is friendly and welcoming, perfectly located on the plaza around Hannover HBhf for quick access to the trains, shops, trams, taxis and all places in central Hannover. I booked a double room here, but when I entered it I found it was incredibly hot and faced the station, so I could tell it was going to be very noisy all night, and I asked to change rooms. They had no other doubles available, and I had to settle for a very small cramped single room - but they still charged me for a double room! 2 Stars knocked off for that........ Breakfast was good with a large buffet, although some of the waiting staff were a bit hit or miss on their levels of service. I didn't try the small bar or the seated area outside as I just slept here and was out on the trains all day during my visit, but they looked good. It's so close to the station that I could be there and back in under 60 seconds. It's clean and the WiFi is good. Front desk staff were friendly and spoke good English. I would have liked to have stayed longer there.

Very welcoming and helpful reception staff, prompt check in. Despite a problem with one from this was sorted quite quickly. Centrally located opposite the main railway station wi5n direct links to the airport. Small bar with added outside seating area with electric heaters. Good choice of cold buffet breakfast with limited hot items, however service was bit hit or miss when ordering omelettes/pancakes etc. Superior Rooms were very good and comfortable. Highly recommended.

I never take the time to write reviews but we had such a wonderful experience I wanted to share it with others. Hotel Opera's website says "a place to relax and feel at home" and the staff exemplified this. They were so friendly, helped us with directions, taxis, , serving wonderful breakfasts, and opened the bar late night for us! They were attentive and responsive to every detail. We will stay there every time we visit !

It is a good place to stay (reasonable in price and what I got back). All in my family were happy! We stayed for 4 days and enjoyed all (from the hotel, city of Hannover, food, ..). I would come back when I come to Hannover again !

Our family had a chance to connect in Hannover for one night before departing on flights and trains. The Kaiserhof is just across from the main train station. It’s beautifully appointed with “Old World” style and comfort. The staff is professional, friendly and welcoming! The room was SO spacious - one could twirl around in ease! Modern bath with a delightful shower. We will be back to stay longer as we want to explore Hannover. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Close to everything we wanted but small bedrooms, not the same as we saw on the webpage. It seemed bigger spaces on the images and in real life ita was smaller, may better to place tue dimensions. Also the doors opening to the outside, it may be dangerous to people walking by the hallway.
