We wanted to stay just out of the hustle of the city and this hotel fitted that bill. It’s located in a good area with plenty of eating options nearby and is really close to the tram, u bahn and bus stop for getting around.
Everywhere in the hotel is exceptionally clean with good size rooms. We were there 3 nights and were given the opportunity to decline the maid service which we did and were given two vouchers for a free soft drink.
The breakfast was excellent with a huge choice and this set us up for the day. Really pleasant staff in the restaurant as well as throughout the hotel.
The only disappointment was the bar was closed when we wanted a drink on a Sunday evening at 9.30pm.

Very good central location and excellent value. The hotel lobby and bar were very comfortable and pleasant, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room was unremarkable but adequate and clean; though the hotel did not seem very busy we were given a room overlooking a parking lot, building backsides and a trash dumpster. Hallway carpets could benefit from a refresh.

My husband and I stayed in this hotel just one night (22nd to 23th july). The hotel looks new, the room was clean and the staff was very friendly, pretty standard.
However I have to share here a very terrifying experience that we had. About 05:45 am, when we were still slepping, a strange guy entered into our room. He was completely disoriented, didn't had an alcoholic smell but might be on drugs. My husband screamed at him to get out of our room, but he didn't move, just when I said that he was in the wrong room he seemed to understand, than my husband pushed him out of the room and closed the door.
Later in the morning my husband checked on how hard you have to push the door in order to close it, he concluded that you have to make an extra push until you hear the very last click of the lock. It is very easy to be tricked by the door.
Thank God, it was not really serious but very terrifying.
I know that I can't blame the hotel, but I would like to share to warn future guests to double check the door lock. I could swear that my door was closed and apparently it wasn't.

The hotel is well situated in a quiet area of town and yet a short walk into the railway station, old town and new town.
We have stayed in a few Mercure Hotels and this hotel has all their usual standards.

I stayed for one night, a reservation I had to change a few times due to covid-19 but the hotel was so understanding. Check in was very swift and I headed to my room 334.
On reaching the 3rd floor the smell of stale cigarette smoke hit me, thankfully it didn't filter to my room but I genuinely thought I was on a smoking floor as a guest had obviously been smoking in their room.
On first appearance the room seemed clean but the cleaner had not wiped down the desk which had fresh coffee stains. I travelled with wipes so did this myself but it did make me question the cleaning standards.
The bed and bathroom were clean and I did sleep well.
The breakfast was very good, worth adding to a booking.
