In our hotel VILLA GODESBERG we combine modern atmosphere with traditional charm. During the renovation work, old and new elements have been harmoniously coordinated. The result combines attractive and modern functionality with the style and solidity of a bygone architecture. The hotel has 2 suites as well as 12 double and single rooms. This hotel size is ideal as it enables us to look after each guest individually. The rooms are equipped with modern bathrooms, colour TV (flat screen), direct-dial telephone, minibar, tea corner and safe. Wireless LAN for your Internet access is available in all rooms.

Great hotel in a quiet area of Bonn. Free parking and we had a spacious room in the basement. Nice breakfast and friendly staff. The room could use an upgrade for this price, especially the bedding, which had holes in it. Close to the Rhine for a nice walk.

The house was perfect for our larger family reunion. It combines the charm of the old with modern comfort and chic. The management of the house and the service staff are super friendly and facing - the house is so nicely quiet that you sleep wonderfully and the breakfast is rich.

Been there again after many years. Reception after 6pm in the evening via machines with PIN code and a self-service bar with a very nice room. Beautiful villa, but very noisy when guests arrive later. The mailbox/code construction in the entrance is a little careless. Limited parking at the hotel, but sufficient free parking on the street. 10 minute walk to the banks of the Rhine for dinner.

You should be able to handle criticism. No warm water - answer when checking out, the boiler has broken down, now it's working again. You're welcome to go back into the room and shower. A reduction in the room price would have been appropriate here. The price policy in the house increases according to demand and that with the statement on the homepage: "Our trademarks are reliability, honesty and authenticity." We would no longer recommend it.

The two combined Art Nouveau villas are undoubtedly pretty, but that alone does not make a boutique hotel. Room on the second floor means that due to a lack of lift you drag the luggage upstairs (the reception is no longer manned from 20:00). The room is OK but a white resopal cabinet is anything but "boutique". The internet was rather weak in my room (203) and the breakfast was fine but by no means remarkable. All in all a decent hotel but still a good distance from what is commonly understood as a boutique hotel.

Very nice old villa buildings, great modernized. Our room was spacious and chic. Although it was facing the sides of the road, it was still very quiet. Everything super clean. Breakfast with good but not huge selection. Staff very nice and friendly. Priced, however, upscale.

Nice location, short walk to the Rhine. It's a nice old seemingly recently renovated Super friendly reception, rooms were clean. Reasonable water pressure in the shower. Hadn't breakfast, so I can't say anything about it. Parking is mostly street side but for free. When I stay again in the area I will definitely choose the hotel again.

Unique and very beautiful boutique hotel. The athmosphere in the hotel is amazing. The buildings are old but renovated with respecting love. The location is good and the area is absolutely beautiful. I recommend to walk near by and admire the beautiful buildings. The service is friendly and the breakfast is perfect: high quality products, beautiful set up and peaceful athmosphere.

When Bonn was the capital of West Germany during the Cold War years, Bad Godesberg was the embassy district and Villa Godesberg hotel is in this area. It is two 19th century art nouveau villas that have been converted to a boutique hotel, and is in a very quiet and elegant residential area. It is just an 8 minute walk (the hotel reception specified this very exact time!) through quiet roads and parks to a pretty stretch of the Rhine River. There are a couple of good restaurants close by and a good bakery. It is also a straight forward trip into the centre of Bonn, which is also a delightful city (and the birthplace of Beethoven). The staff were, without exception, friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are a bit special, nicely presented and in a lovely sun room (or in the garden weather permitting). We are Australians, visiting Germany for the first time. We have enjoyed Germany, and this hotel contributed to our wonderful experience here.

This Christmas we decided to visit our family in Bad Godesberg and given our previous stay at the Villa Godesberg in 2014, it was an easy decision to stay again. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by Jutte and Anna, full of Christmas spirit as was the beautiful decoration of the property...and the wonderful Christmas chocolates available at the reception desk! The property is so easily located for international travellers. We arrived at Frankfurt airport, took the hi-speed train to Bonn-Siegburg and its then a short drive to the hotel, total travel time was 90mins door to door. The properties in the Godesberg-Villenviertel District speak for the English translation (Elegant Residential District). Many of the properties around Villa Godesberg were formerly Embassies, when Bonn was once the capital of Germany and the beautiful hotel shares many of these characteristics, from the old wooden floors that remind me of my school years to the beautiful wooden balustrade and bannisters to the flag mounting still present on the balcony of our room. We had a front of property room, in the new extension building. As usual the room was very comfortable and homely, replete with coffee and tea facilities as well as complimentary red and white wine. Its also important to mention that the property has free wifi throughout the two buildings and the speed is very reasonable, enabling both business travellers and visitors to remain connected. Breakfast is served at the rear of the property overlooking the small, green city garden. The breakfast selection is excellent and to a very high standard, including muesli, granola, fresh yoghurt, juices, egg (both scrambled and boiled), cold cuts and cheeses as well as freshly baked bread and pastries. Since it was Christmas we took the opportunity to pop into town for a glühwein or two! Bad Godesberg is a ten minute walk from the hotel and has a small Christmas Market and some lovely little boutiques. We also borrowed the hotel's vehicle - a zippy little Fiat 500, just the remedy for parking in Bonn at Christmas! If you drive an electric/hybrid car, its also worth considering that the Villa Godesberg has installed a vehicle charging point - very progressive and environmentally thoughtful of the owners! Bonn was very busy as one would imagine at this time of year and the Christmas Market was huge and full of very high quality handicrafts and gifts - definitely worth a visit for a short weekend in the run-up to Christmas. We also took the opportunity to visit Köln or Cologne for some pre-Christmas shopping. The train from Bad Godesberg is very quick arriving in Köln after 30 minutes. As it was lunchtime, I reminded my wife that it would be nice to have a quick refreshment, so we headed to Früh at the Dome, a 100 year old authentic Brauhauskeller. Another great visit to Villa Godesberg and a very special thank you to the wonderful hotelier Mrs Friederike Sträter and her excellent team. A very Happy and Prosperous New Year to you all!

"Our room was on the front of the property, first floor, with a lovely little balcony (former embassy flag holder still in place). The room was street facing, very quiet and more than adequate for a couple - the walk-in shower was modern and just the right size to not knock your elbows!"
