Booked very early for a trade show at the Koelnmesse but the cost per night was still very very high for the facilities and service provided. A very small, simple establishment. Very clean and plain. Very simple breakfast - unchanged every day. Lovely, very helpful host family.

Small Hotel with very good breakfast. Staff is really nice and helpful. Hotel is a 10min walk away from the main station. The room was a bit dark but comfy and very clean. We had the luck to see the TV tower from our room.

We have stayed here on three occasions and would definitely always try and book here before anywhere else. You cannot beat this hotel for location, price, comfort and the amazing hospitality of the owners and staff. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough! We will definitely stay here again...and again....and again...... :)

I stayed here for one night in December, and it really is as nice a place as most reviewers say. My room was small, but very clean. The hotel is very conveniently located in the centre of Cologne, but in spite of this is very quiet and I had a restful night. The breakfast is generous, so all in all... More

Very close to the dom. I got the room without the bathroom but it was very close to my room and clean. The was ok for the price that I paid. Nice managers and good breakfast, fast internet connection!

Small family hotel at good location - walking distance to the centre, shops, U-bahn. Very friendly staff. Although our flight was delayed, the girl waited for us and accommodate us. Unique breakfast room, and a rich one. The only hotel where they change the towels and sheets every day. Excellent purity. Yes, no elevator, but that's the charm of the... More

Owner of the hotel was very friendly. Hotel is a 5 minute walk from the Hansaring S-bahn station and along a quiet street, but it is within walking distance (around 10-15 minutes) to the Cologne Cathedral and old town. There are no lifts so it might be a challenge bringing heavy suitcases up, although the nice owner helped me with... More

Had a really nice stay at Kupferkessel beginning of May. The Rooms and Beds are spotless and very comfortable, and their Breakfast was Amazing!!!! Loved their breakfast!! with really good coffee (which you don't get in many hotels). People also very friendly. The only thing that we somehow missed before we booked is that they don't have an elevator, which... More

Frendly welcome, then walk up the stairs to the 4th floor (no elevator, but I knew that). Spacious room, while walls, comfy bed. small functional bathroom with shower, everything spotless. 4 red towels (nice contrast to all the white...). Free Wifi. The breakfast is served in a living-room like dining room with lovely decoration (e.g. A coockoo clock), tasteful old... More

“My room was top floor at the back. I get the idea that no rooms have great views as the hotel is on a quiet, narrow side street with more buildings and small gardens at the back. You also may not have a choice if you've booked a certain type of room (i.e. with shared bathroom). I guess the main request you could make is for a certain floor if you think you'll have difficulty with the stairs.”
