Just a couple of hundred metres from Cologne railway station - and the old city - this is ideal as a one night stop for the weary traveller. Check-in is efficient and our room was fine. Downstairs there is a comfortable seating area. We were served a good breakfast in a light and cheery room. The Ludwig is nothing more...

Near the end of a month-long trip to France and Germany, Hotel Ludwig was a surprising high point. Cologne itself was a pleasant surprise, more comfortable and interesting than we anticipated. Everything about the hotel was nicer, better than we expected: the room was air-conditioned and the location was convenient for walking to restaurants and the Cathedral. Breakfast was more...

A very nice hotel and very comfortable to stay if you are traveling with small kids and family and by train. Even with the luggage its just hardly 5 min from the main railway station. The rooms given to us were very nice with balcony and had a view of the Dom. We stayed on the third floor. The beds...

Although the hotel is well located for all the major sights of Cologne we did find the double room a bit small and were was glad our stay was only for one night. i wouldnt reccommend a longer stay. The breakfast was good though and the staff was friendly.

Keeping in mind that this is a 3-star hotel, I'd say the hotel is a good choice It was of course over-priced because of the conference, but comparing it to other hotels, I'd say it is slightly above average The hotel location is very good, a 5-minute walk from the main train station, you can cross through the station to...

Very well located, just 3 minutes away from the main train station, Bedroom is not so big, but polite and clean and with a good shower. Breakfast is very good, hard to find when comparing with similar hotels. The staff is their greatest asset and will be happy to help making your stay a better one.

We booked late and couldn't get into our first choice but this small 3star hotel was a good find and we would recommend it. It is a short 5 min walk from Koln train station which is itself only 4 stations from the airport. The hotel is very well situated for a short walk through the station for Cologne Cathedral,...

We arrived last minute and where greeted very friendly. There is 24 hour reception and very fat Internet compared to other hotels in the city and region. We got room 408 with an impressive southern balcony to sit and enjoy the sunshine.

This is our third trip to Hotel Ludwig and we are always pleased with the accommodations and especially with the pleasant and courteous staff. The rooms are very efficient and comfortable and the beds provide for a good night's rest after a hard day of sight seeing and traveling. The breakfast is as the hotel, not ostentatious, and very good...
