Being a railway enthusiast, I found this hotel to be an ideal location for both local tram and distant train travel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, including serving coffee at our early departure time of 2.30 am. The room was spacious, clean and quiet, the beds comfortable, and although we slept on the street side, the double-glazing baffled...

We had a team overnighter in Hotel Acon and it was a good hotel, The staff were friendly and all spoke good english, which saved me making a fool of myself trying to speak German. Rooms varied from a huge apartment, my room, to a smaller less well appointed room. However all were wel equipped and clean. Some members of...

Free wi-fi internet service and breakfast, close to the main train station and the Altstadt. That's what sold me on this small hotel, and why it's a good deal in Dusseldorf. There are few bargains downtown during a major fair, and this hotel was not cheap, but it was comfortable, convenient and worked fine for an English-speaking traveler. Internet service...

Stayed for 6 nights while at a major expo at Messe Duesseldorf. I arrived very early after a sleepless overnight flight and was thrilled and greatful to find a room ready and available to me at 8:30 in the morning. The staff continued to be helpful throughout my stay. Breakfast was included and was quite nice--well beyond the basics with...

As a pensioner, travelling alone on a visit to my old RAF base, I wanted a quiet but friendly place to stay for 2 nights. Under these circumstances I was not dissapointed and I therefore rate the Hotel accordingly. My room was at the back of the Hotel overlooking some flats, mostly with pleasant balconies, compete with little gardens. I...

My partner and I booked to stay at Hotel Acon for 2 nights in early February 2008. The hotel is relatively close to the main train station, about a 5 minute walk even with 2 large suitcases. To get to the hotel you have to walk through quite a seedy part of town - lots of strip clubs and sex...

I has a morning flight out of Dusseldorf Airport and was looking for a hotel which offered both proximity to the train station for transit to the airport and a free breakfast. I booked this hotel via the Deutche Bahn website and got a great price - 59 Euros. The hotel is about a five minute walk, max, from the...

Needed a place to kip after a concert in DD. Good location just 7 mins walk from the main station (Turn left along Graf Adolf Str., follow the tram lines to Stresemannplatz and you're there). Small simple basic hotel which may be in a less than glamorous part of town but isn't really in the red light district (NB: a...
