Beware it, as owners are rough cheaters. I've book this hotel in May for my July vacation one night stay. Just one day before I write email to ensure that everything is ok with my reservation and receive answer from hotel owner (Jessica Thompson) that they have no available rooms. I was shoked as I haven't time to search replacement...

The hotel is nestled in the middle of the forest and you can feel the traditional German atmosphere the moment you lay your eyes on the hotel. You feel the welcoming warmth once you enter the lobby. The staff are very helpful and Rosy is a sweet manager who does everything she can to make the client happy. The food...

The Burgschaenke Restaurant was the first place we dined while in Kaiserslaughtern. And because of the good experience with the waitstaff, atmosphere, and food, we couldn't leave Germany without one more visit for dinner. In our company we had 3 adults and 2 children (German people seem to love children), for 4 meals, 4 drinks (2 bar), and 2 deserts,...

Stayed at the Burgschanke for two nights and would recommend this hotel and restaurant for visitors to Kaiserslautern....they get many American guests...The restaurant food was very good (although I prefer the Bavarian-style spaetzle) for both lunch and traditional German-style dinners..The restaurant decor was also inviting...In good weather, the patio is very enjoyable as well...Breakfast was the standard buffet, and was...

I had to attend a professional function at the Burgschaenke, and I first want to say that if you like traditional German decor than this place has got it. I went to the bar and had a glass of wine before dinner €4.50 which I thought was a very reasonable price. They don't have a huge wine selection, but I...

IF you want to have a real German Town experience, then you have found the place. It is a bit of an adjustment for the "American" as the rooms are very small, no A/C only fans. Rose and Idris are the BEST hostesses! They aim to please! There is fresh fruit every morning and a variety of breakfast items on...

Leaving Calais on our way to Croatia, we found this hotel after a 7 hour fast drive, arriving at 7pm. SatNav did help find the turnoff into the village. It is just a short drive off the autobahn, no more than 10minutes but well worth that bit extra drive. The welcome in English was perfect and the vista of the...

I stayed at the Burgschanke for 3 lovely months in 2013. My spacious room in the main building featured a large window through which the changing Fall colors and the village church could be seen. It was a straight shot out to the parking lot & the trail to the Schloss, and two short flights of stairs down to the...

We just spent one night as we were driving through. The staff were lovely and very friendly. The food was great also. The rooms are very spacious and cozy. We were very pleased with our stay. We will definitely stay again if we are in the area.
