Went out for a family evening meal after driving past it endless times. We were greeted with a warm response and thought the atmosphere was lovely even for a quieter night. Food came promptly and was well presented but was on the expensive side for what was received. Frozen oven chips fried, a very sad excuse for a steak which...

The Inn is set in the lovely rural area not far from Witheridge is has lots of old inn character. The food was excellent and the rooms are a little small but that should not stop you experiencing the Inn. The stay was great value for money with excellent service from the waitresses.

Arrived at the Thelbridge Cross Inn on 15th December 2016. An overnight stay. Though in the middle of nowwhere, literally, it's a beautiful location and a lovely kept Inn in the traditional sense. The rooms are small but ideal and very comfortable. We had an evening meal and breakfast the next day. Every bite was tasty and the service as...

At least that's if you follow the cross country route from Exeter, better to stay on the main roads until the last minute! It's a traditional coaching inn, and feels every bit of it in the bar and restaurant. The staff are very friendly and the menu was much better than you'd maybe expect in the middle of nowhere! The...

We found The Thelcross Inn on Red Letter Days and as we had a voucher decided it looked good for us; rural, quiet, good food... Well those three things are true; it is 11 miles from Tiverton via a quiet B road it is very quiet and tranquil and the food is amazing. Try the Duck in orange sauce and...

I ordered what I thought was a pork loin, having missed the word steak on the menu. There seemed to be a misunderstanding as when my meal arrived the pork was essentially a pork chop, which I could not bring myself to eat. The waitress, the Chef and the Landlady came to see me, although I did feel it a...

This is the second time that we have been to the Inn for Sunday Lunch and was not disappointed, they allow you to pick a small, regular or large size meal and it comes with five fresh Vegetables and roasted potatoes all piping hot, then if you have room try the sweets, the service is friendly and fast and well...

We had lunch for 9 people and the food plus the excellent service made it a lovely occasion. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and the staff made us feel very welcome. We were given plenty of extra veg and chips and the roast potatoes were out of this world!

Lovely location, very nice accommodation. We arrived a little early and had a 'sandwich'. Which was accompanied by a salad and chips...great value! The accommodation was great, except for the creaky divan! (Room 7). Dinner was excellent, gammon and trio of fish ..highly recommended! The lady who cleaned, waitressed at breakfast and served behind the bar was very helpful and...
