This is a very special place with a warm and friendly welcome to everyone. Nothing is forgotten and there are delightful touches like a plate adorned with larch leaves in my room and with gingerbread, stollen, orange and chocolate. The Palace and grounds are peaceful and beautiful in December adn the meals, the buffet on Christmas Eve and the Gala...

This is a very nice hotel outside Dresden with superb service and delicious food. Rooms are clean, comfortable and a good size. At first it seems well outside the city but it's actually pretty quick to get into town on the tram (my 2yo and husband navigated easily). The surrounding village is also quaint and has basic amenities and some...

We enjoyed the room and facilities at this hotel but the most notable feature was the grounds in which it is situated. We spent much of our evenings walking along the river or sitting on the banks relaxing after dinner. Best to do this after hours as there is a castle on site and its full of visitors during the...

The hotel is romantic and very good located in the area of Chateau Pillnitz which is very nice as well. You could walk to the Elbe river and see the marvelous views in the evenig, here is also a great park. The hotel restaurant is quite good. Unfortunately the place is a liittle bit provincial with mainly not smiling local...

We spent one night there, enroute. The location next to Schloss Pillnitz is excellent. At night, very quiet. Plenty of on-site parking. A good restaurant for dinner and breakfast. The service was efficient and friendly. We can recommend it.

We arrived by car and it was easy to park and at no cost, right outside the hotel. The front desk was staffed by a young woman who was very helpful and had reasonable English, a big help for a couple of aussies with no German skills! Our room was average size with old fashioned fittings but very clean and...

The hotel is next to one of the many impressive castles in Germany but isn't in the castle grounds so I would say many of the photos on the booking.com website are misleading. The front desk was staffed by a rather clueless trainee and the manager was not helpful when we said we wanted to cancel. Our room was pleasant...

We arrived by boat from Dresden which cost 20 Euro return. The boat trip was a great journey travelling along the Elbe River, seeing the small villages and people going along with their daily life. Every so often a small castle would appear or another lovely old boat. Our paddle steamer was from the 1890's and beautifully restored. You can...

Wonderful place near the river Elbe. Big gardens and a castle bring to the surface the atmosphere of the middle age, when the King of Saxony used to spend his vacations here with his lover... The rooms are perfect and there is a conference room with everything you need for a successful workshop. The service is friendly and the food...

Lovely welcome from receptionist and all public areas and restaurant looked like they've been decorated very recently. 2 interesting water marks highlighted as part of the decor on a column inside the building showing the water level in the building during the bad flooding of 2013 and 2002 - incredible to realise just how bad it must have been for...
