I usually only do restaurant reviews but my experience at the Radison Leipzig made complied to do one on a hotel. In all my travels I never had a weird experience like this. When we checked in we were given room cards that didn't correspond with the number on the bill I received. I found out about this later on because I didn't check if the room number corresponded with the room card number. When I arrived at the room we found it strange the door didn't open easy (it shouldn't have opened at all since it was the wrong key). We didn't realy made anything out of it so we went into town to arrive again in the afternoon. When we arrived at the room again the door didn't open. After fighting with the key card for about 3 minutes suddenly a member of the staff came out of our room! She stated she was checking if anyone was in the room. Strange since I could have seen that by entering the room alone. We were to report at the desk to clarify the situation. After checking at the main desk it seemed they mixed up room cards and we got another room then the business class room we paid for. In all of my years I have never met such unprofessional behaviour from a hotel or their staff.

Dear guest, we sincerely apologize for the unusual and inconvenient experience you encountered during your stay at our house. Such situations are certainly not reflective of our usual high standards, and we deeply regret any frustration or inconvenience it may have caused. We are sorry, if you were given the wrong room number. This may happend due to many check ins during arrival. Of course this should not have happend and we apologize for this incident. We only offer five different room categories - standard, superior, premium, junior suite and suite. The business class rooms belong to the standard room category, only the room layout is a bit different. So you were given the right room category. We apologize for the caused misunderstanding and we will make sure to check this internally. Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience you experienced. We value your feedback, and we hope you will consider giving us another opportunity to provide you with the exceptional service you deserve. Best regards, Your Radisson BLU Hotel team from Leipzig

We had nice and large suite and it was nice to see, that room layout was unordinary. It felt more line an apartment. View was to the city. Location of the hotel is really good and there’s parking places at the hotel and in the parking hall near. There was robot working at the restaurant, really cool!

The hotel is in very good position. It is easy to get to from train station one stop on tram. The breakfast which we had was very good. We could not fault it. There was great attention to detail. However the towels we had had seen better days. They seemed hard to touch and absorbancy was low. I mentioned this on day one and was told housekeeping would be informed. No contact from housekeeping at all. And no reason given. Even towel change when room cleaned mDe no difference. The decor is very tired also bearing in mind the prices charged. The shower, shampoo and conditioner dispensers did not work. Only found out when having shower. On speaking to reception they knew all about this giving us small bottles of all these but surprised this was not mentioned when checking in. We did enjoy the robots at breakfast. It was impressive how they were used, worth seeing.

We stayed in this hotel for one night and had a very enjoyable time, also thanks to the upgrade to a superior room thanks to our Radisson Premium membership. The room was very spacious, modern and clean, which applied to the bathroom as well. We had a lovely view over the city center, so good to ask for a room on a high floor if you would like that. All the staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. Breakfast was very nice, with a very good choice of food and drinks, including some local specialties. We would definitely consider staying here again when next in Leipzig.

Nice breakfast, big room and convenient location for the Gewandhaus and Opern. The only thing that could be improved was the quality of the towels. They were too thin. Other than that, a nice alternative for staying in the center of this most charming city.

The location is excellent - close to the city centre, essential as there isn't a restaurant in the hotel. The Gewandhaus and the Opera are just across the street. The room was comfortable and had a free minibar. The lobby bar stayed open. Good breakfast. The hotel is on the intersection of two major roads and there was a little traffic noise in the room (but not enough to put me off the hotel). Checkin staff did not recognise that I had already paid.

Having stayed here some times before, this time should be a birthday gathering with friends and family. I booked two rooms (different reservations) under my and my mother's name (same last name, but, of course, different first names and genders). As it was my mother's birthday, I asked customer service by e-mail for a greeting card and pointed out some room requests, e. g. that my mother would bring along a dog (as there is a surcharge for that). The greeting card request and the other requests were quickly and gratiously confirmed. Upon checking it, there was some confusion as front desk apparently never had two reservations under the same last name. It turned out, that my mother, who had arrived earlier, had been given the regular room. We were then assigned the "dog room" (and found, of course, the surcharge on our bill, later on). A greeting card never materialized and there was not recognition of my Radisson Rewards Premium status whatsoever. The room itself was nice as always, but "post-COVID bland" without any info material or decoration. I reported a not working hand held shower on Saturday morning and one of the few front desk agents came up to check it as there was no technician on duty. He checked and that was it - no repair until our departure. Breakfast was extremely crowed, but that was to be expected on a christmas weeked, and the restaurant staff dealt with it quickly, professionally and friendly and lines moved quicker that we first thought. What also should have been expected - by the hotel! - was, that a sold out hotel would require the appropriate amount of breakfast items. Running out of basic breakfast things like bread rolls long before the announced breakfast end at 11:00 a. m. is just bad planning! When checking out, I had the "dog fee" removed from my bill, but before that, I had to wait about 10 minutes as the front desk agent (the same who functioned as "technician" the day before) had to haggle with a calling customer over a room rate as he was also the "sunday reservation center". Bottom line: location, rooms, restaurant staff were very good. Breakfast logistics were just bad. Front desk staff was overworked and understaffed as ever. Furthermore - and that also was a problem in the past - the front desk attitude changed between friendly and surly. Would I return? After several stays with front desk problems I will probably look elsewhere as there is plenty of of competition in Leipzig.

Dear guest, thank you for taking the time to provide extensive feedback. Every guest arrives with different expectations and we regret not having met yours. First of all, we would like to apologize for the lack of internal communication regarding the reservation. Something got lost along the way - what shouldn't have happened. This also does not correspond to the standard that we would like to offer our guests. Unfortunately, our facility management can only be reached at the weekend for emergencies. So we could only have offered you a room change. We regret not having offered this to you. Based on the incidents, we can understand that the overall impression is rather negative. We will work on the points mentioned internally and make our employees aware of them. We would therefore be delighted if you give us another chance in the future to convince you of our performance and our services. With kind regards Your team from the Radisson BLU Hotel Leipzig

This is a lovely hotel in a great location for the Gewandhaus. The staff were really helpful. I had a really nice room with a comfortable bed, really good sound proofing, a settee and armchair. Good, large shower and plenty of storage space. The breakfast was really good and varied with good coffee and a huge range of food, pretty much anything you wanted. The fresh bread and meat were both nice as were the mini doughnuts. I also had lunch on my arrival day and it was a very nice pumpkin soup with garlic bread, really tasty. Staff were great too. Definitely the place to stay if you want to go to the Gewandhaus.

The hotel is very clean, the rooms comfortable, quiet and with modern design (which I particularly appreciated). We also had an upgrade. We were staying with our 2 years old daughter and our small dog, therefore I can recommend this accommodation for families. The location is very convenient to the city center. Staff was professional and helpful. We stayed at the hotel twice (a night for each stay) within 8 days and the lady at the reception still remembered me when I went for the second check in. This can seem a small detail, but people who work in hotels know that these things make the difference. There was no mini fridge in the rooms (though beverages, food, coffee etc. Could be easily bought at the reception desk), but this might be a consequence of covid times. I will come back for sure!
