I ate here 3 times on a recent trip to Wittenberg, once with a group of 18 and the others with one other person. Everything from the house-brewed beer, the bratwurst, desserts, and sauerkraut were delicious, and I don't even like sauerkraut!! I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who ends up in Wittenberg.

we had a very nice stay. Service was good, food was ample and not too pricey, the rooms are BIG with good beds And access to the outdoor dining area was nice. We ordered welcoming buffet for the group upon arrival and got a lot of beer !

Stayed here for one night on our anniversary trip and it was decent but KNOW SOME GERMAN BEFORE YOU COME we had some language barrier issues.
We had been misdirected up 3 flights of stairs and down 2 to get to the reception. Once finally at reception, the front desk agent knew some English but not a lot.
The room was tiny, basic, and had barely any heat. Additionally, we said anniversary trip and were given two separate twin beds.... that were not very comfortable and not very romantic.
However, once your leave your room the courtyard and restaurant are beautifully decorated. You are located in the middle of town which is great for sightseeing. The restaurant is delicious and the beer is wonderful!!
I would stay here again but I would make sure there isn't a miscommunication on sleeping arrangements.
IF you do not do stairs well or cobblestones do not come!! No elevator and the main walkways are traditional cobblestones so wheelchairs, walkers, and strollers will have difficulty!

There is nothing really elegant about this place, but it is comfortable. The furnishings are average, but not exceptional. It is clean and the breakfasts were good. One big drawback is that when you enter, you must go up two flights of stairs just to get to the "front" desk. If you're toting baggage, it is a challenge. The service staff is cordial and helpful. Would I stay here again? Probably not. I have a lower back disability and shoulder problems. Negotiating the stairs (with no elevator) was a challenge for me.

Brauhaus Wittenberg is a fine example of an old fashioned center of town classic local hotel. The location is right at the edge of the market, a very short distance from the "Mother Church of the Reformation. Our room was reasonable in size, cozy, and ultra clean. The lady who manned the reception desk was very cordial, spoke excellent English, and was a fount of local knowledge, such as which stands at the Christmas Market had the best gluhwein. At one of these, we were even present, gluhweins in hand, for a television interview with Martin Luther. The building housing the hotel also contains the brewery and two restaurants, only one of which we were able to try. The main brewery restaurant was a Central European classic, and the location under the hotel reception looked classic. One should just be aware, though, that there is no elevator for the hotel.

We stayed here for 2x nights while in Wittenberg, and found the hotel was clean and comfortable, but really enjoyed the breakfast that was put on - plenty of delicious options to be had. It is close and handy to all the major Luther sites (all within 5 minutes walking distance), and overlooks the market square. A great place to stay.

After booking online we received an email advising us to drive to the back of the hotel where free parking was available. Having followed these helpful instructions we then had to negotiate several corridors and stairs in order to reach Reception.
Rooms are clean and spacious and the beds are comfortable.
The breakfast buffet offered plenty of choice including cooked items.
The Brauhaus offers good value.

We booked this hotel because of it’s location and restaurant. Those traits were excellent. But the room was too basic for our taste. Relatively small, no AC, and no elevator to any floor, much less the fourth. Breakfast was very good, as was the staff. But not good enough to offset room quality.

Landed in Berlin and trained to Wittenberg to stay at this hotel and did not regret it! The hotel was quite a walk from the train station but it is right on the Market Platz and not far from Castle Church. Food was great at the patio garden restaurant. This was where I had my favorite meal of the trip - chicken schnitzel and spaetzle! It was nice to stay at a hotel with a unique patio restaurant attached and centrally located. The reception area is on the second floor and wasn't open in the early morning when we needed to check out, but there was a nice lady at the restaurant that helped us out. Would stay again, but would love to try and figure out how to come in to the Lutherstadt Station directly behind this area.
