Awesome sardines and salad, big fish based menu. Nice spot right on the end of the quay. Quite busy and middle of the road on expense. Really well cooked fish, great choice. Good service, plenty of tables, but best ones with view get taken quickly.

We had lunch here and vowed never to return. We had studied the menu on the wall and had opted on the menú del día. After about 15 minutes with nobody attending to us, a loutish person spied us and started shouting that they were closed and we had to move- it was 14.45. There was an interchange of words... More

Ideally positioned right on the small harbour this restaurant looks beautiful and inviting - dont be deceived!! The waiter has a disgraceful 'dont care' attitude, very slow service and the tapas served to us were disgusting and looked as though they were leftovers from day before. Our Spanish friends accompanying us were embarrased. What a shame! This place if properly... More

My wife and I visited this restaurant with two friends for lunch today. Two of us ordered the Sea Bass which, on the menu was priced at 18 euros. The sea bass orders took so long to be served that the other two meals were more or less finished by the time they eventually arrived. When we were finally presented... More

We stayed, because we were desperately hungry, but witnessed three other tables get up and leave after waiting for service. We waited over an hour to get our undercooked food, wrong drink orders all despite advance reservations and a 2/3 empty terrace. The waiter looked at us like we were aliens when we enquired about menus, he studiously ignored us... More

I have to start by saying that, regretfully, I did not stay here. However I fell in love with Isla del Moro and had two wonderful meals at the Isleta Restaurant. Must tries: cuajadera de pescado and the calamar en aceite. These dishes will take about 45 minutes to cook so in the meantime enjoy the views and the wine.

We arrived today at 3.45pm. There were 3/4 empty tables on the sea front side set up for food, so we chose a table not set up. Waiter arrives and he asked if we were eating or drinking, we said just some wine please. Wrong reply, we were told to go and sit at the back of the hotel. I... More

I can't imagine anybody having a negative thing to say about this beautiful place. The location is straight out of Captain Correli's Maldolin or Mama Mia - more Greek pension in terms of look and feel than Spanish. The hotel/restaurant is set in the heart of the Cabo de Gata so it is as far from the maddening crowd as... More

We were tempted by an outside table on the terrace overlooking the sea. On location it delivers but it was chaotic, not enough staff for the number of tables. The food was average and very expensive, lunch was 51 euros and we only had one wine and one beer. All side dishes are extra and afterwards we realise we had been... More

Pleasant little hostal with clean rooms and sufficiently equiped for a short stay. Being the weekend of the Eurovision song contest we managed to persuade the staff to set up a tv in dinning room so we could watch the "Euro-event of the year". This the happily did, despite some early reservations. The adjacent restaurant offers good quality seafood, if... More
