Stayed 1 night to visit the Mosque Cathedral and Medina Azzahra. We arrived on a Sunday by a rented car which we could not return that day. Our mistake was that we did not read the hotel's instruction not to use GPS to get to the hotel. So we were led through some of the narrowest roads and alleys! But...

Fresh clean rooms with helpful staff . . . Helped us book tours and taxis - and easy to find. Excellent location for the Roman bridge and mesquita. We also highly recommend restaurant Garum 2.1 which is only walking distance away -convenient after dinner!

This hotel is right across the street from the city's top attraction, the Mosque-Cathedral (Mezquita de Córdoba). You couldn't ask for a better location! All of Old Town is within walking distance. For a reasonable price, we booked the suite, which is actually a large room with a huge terrace. It was so pleasant, I immediately wished we'd planned to...

Stayed two nights in this great place. The location is superb, right near the Mesquita and Roman bridge. The room was very good for the price - good bedroom size with French doors over looking the street, smallish bathroom but reasonably sized towels, helpful reception staff. The only downside, and hence the reason it doesn't get 5 out of 5,...

Tricky to find down Coroba's tiny winding streets, but Hostal Azahar is in a fabulous spot. We had thought parking was included, but there is no parking close by, however, we did find secure parking (with the added bonus of ancient Roman ruins) on the main road, near the beautiful river. The hotel is very clean, and the staff were...

Nice little hostel directly opposite the mesquite (10 metres away). Our room had a little balcony at the front looking onto the mesquite. Nice and clean. Friendly receptionist and ideal for a short stay. Plenty of restaurants close by for breakfast and meals. Close to bus routes if travelling by train. Nice.

We stayed here three nights and found it to be very adequate. Staff is friendly and helpful and the proximity to the Mezquita can't be beat. We were in room 1 which is above the corner of two streets, with tall Windows above to survey the street scene. The downside is that it is quite noisy with the windows open....

Our second stay at this hostal. It was good the first time a few years ago, principally because it is right opposite the Mezquita, but the present owners have redecorated and made it a smart, clean, very good value little hotel. We had the room with the terrace on the top floor, which is really worth the extra money. The...
