Don't be aftraid that the hotel is officially 1 star. It has a comfort of 3 stars for sure. The hotel is located near to the train station and at the age of the old town. The building is amazing, the room was simple but clean and comfortable. Breakfast OK. Staff at the reception super nice. Overall a very good experience.
Not very often lost for words but for this unique hotel words does not do it justice! Cadiz has an amazing history and this place oozed it situated in the old town a stones throw from some very fime tapas bars and restaurants. Absolutely stunning building with large, bright, spotless rooms and the court yard with the background sound of Gregorian chants gave the place a magical unreal feeling. Thought we walked into a film set. Will definitely return!!
This is simply a very special and beautiful building. The courtyard is just plain lovely and the whole building well maintained and looks superb. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Close to station and in a great location.
We stayed in early November and drove from Malaga. We knew to park at the station opposite but when we enquired the receptionist suggested to park for free opposite the docks. Two days free parking! The hotel is delightful with the central courtyard, plants and Gregorian chant to accompany breakfast. Very moving and evocative of its former life. The breakfast... outstanding. Nespreso coffee on tap plus tea, delicious pastries. Beautifully presented. Spacious bedroom. Staff very friendly. Location excellent 5 min walk to cathedral. Great tapas bars nearby. What more could you want?
OMG this place is magical - I cannot fault this renovated Convent - the rooms are huge and comfortable w/ great bathrooms but it is the Landings and the windows and central courtyard area that make this building magical - Staff very friendly- breakfast was a lovely simple buffet in a corner of the inner courtyard with Nespresso on tap ....Lovely fitting “Choral chant” background music to start the day - We stayed in early July for 3 nights and adored this hotel - close to lots of restaurants- Parking off site but close - Do not miss a chance to stay here !!! Old town Cadiz is a wonderful vibrant stunning city - we swam at the “city beach” framed by the Old piers. We will definitely go back .
