We are currently staying at the Marbella Club Hotel. This is a beautiful property in a great location (if you happen to like Marbella and the Costa del Sol) with lots of personnel. It is also priced accordingly (450,- to over 1.000,-. Euro per night for the basic double room depending on the season, villas can run much higher). However, there are two major issues: First, "form of substance" applies to the bungalow we are staying in. It looks beautiful, but otherwise the quality of the hardware is more two stars than five+ stars: - Heavy tiles coming down the bathroom wall and nearly hitting my son (please see picture, it is indeed hard to believe) - An ant colony in the bathroom due to open joints (50 cents of silicon would have done the job) - Motion sensors broken and the lamps in the wardrobes (open dressing room) lightening up the sleeping room all night long - Lights flickering (apparently my fault for pushing the button too long - I would have thought it is the job of the hotel to match dimmable buttons with the right bulbs) - Countercurrent installation in the pool not working - Toilet flushing in the master bathroom not working properly Obviously, there is no quality control regarding the room. So far the service recovery has been some ham & cheese to our room. Yes, you have not misread that. Second (and very important to know for families with children), there is a street (!) running through the resort. Rooms and villas are directly next to the street (and one can hear every car passing from the living room I am sitting in). If you believe the signs 5kmh tops, only for hotel guests and drivers shall be careful because of playing children. Today a non-hotel guest (there is no security whatsoever) driving approx. 25 to 30kmh nearly run over my son. I called hotel security who did not intervene, since my son was not hit by the car. They even let the non-hotel guest park the car on the hotel property. Apparently only the hotel manager can take action. Unfortunately, he is not present. If in a supposedly luxury hotel (with well over 100 rooms/ villas) only the manager can decide anything, this speaks for itself how the property is run. That said I obviously cannot recommend any family with children staying here. If you have no children, it is up to you to pay 5* price for 2* hardware or not.…
I heard a lot about this hotel and finay got a chance to stay there myself. It is absolutely amazing! The service and experience you get during your stay is above and beyond! Especially I loved their Wellness and Spa facilities! As Spa is my favorite sport of all, I have a vast experience in this area and I must say this resort has it all at the top level! Would like to thank ladies from the Spa, Elena and Amanda, for taking a great care of me and my husband! And separate thanks to Coco and for our yoga and meditation classes!
Unexpected bad experience. Terrible salad and overlooked meat. Awful service (lack of steak knife)...duration ... definitely for that price you can visit much more existing places in Marbella Beach front.
Customer focused and attention to detail. Many thanks to Ivan and Team , great professional and excellent service. They made our stay just great. A must visit. beautiful views (you can see Gibraltar, África at sunset.
We stayed here for 1 week in July 2020. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms and bathrooms seem to have been recently decorated and are really, really comfortable. The grounds are gorgeous. The staff throughout the hotel are warm, friendly and professional. It is tough times for the hospitality industry, but Marbella Club staff and management managed to cope with the constraints admirably. Breakfast was great.. We ended up eating our lunch daily at the MC Beach restaurant, the food is outstanding. My fussy non-fish eating teenager ended up devouring MY sea bass as it was so good, fresh and cooked to perfection, The location, ambiance and staff all go to make it a memorable meal. You don't go to the Marbella Club hotel for the beach, that's for sure ! The beach in front of the hotels private area is not safe, the sea gets deep very quickly and with lots of rocks. The sand is coarse and very dark. While we were there in July, the sea was very rough. If you walk up towards the Puente Romano there is a much nicer area to swim and paddle, especially if you have young kids. We used the hotels equestrian center, which my daughter loved. We have decided a visit to Marbella Club Hotel will be an annual summer tradition to the start of our summer season, looking forward to coming back next summer.…
