In a quieter street of Old Marbella, the rooms are very good and excellent value...I had a private roof terrace too. The owners and staff are very pleasant and especially helpful. The restaurant is decent value, very down to earth and the menu simple....would definitely return

We stayed at El Gallo for 5 nights at the beginning of September. We had eaten in the restaurant many times - great value there also - so knew the area. The room was clean, nice terrace, handy to have small fridge, ensuite, A/C, wifi included, food location in the Old Town. Would thoroughly recommend and will stay there again...

Very clean room with balcony. Staff were very plesent and helpful . very reasonably priced and located great in old town. Had a fridge in room which was handy but you need to take your own hair dryer. Would certainly return as have no complaints at all

I stayed 2 nights and enjoyed it very much. It is close to he old city centre, the room (No 7) is small but has a private terrace that is as big as room+bathroom. I can only recommend it as the people are also very nice and helpful.

Situated on a quiet street in the middle of Marbella. It's a little odd to start with as its part of El Gallo restaurant however you enter through a totally separate door and never see anyone who owns it unless you go into the restaurant. Rooms are small but clean - we did find some hairs in the shower but...

Excellent value accomodation in the charming old town. In a quiet street, easy wallking distance to the seafront or the coach station. Warm welcome, very helpful with information too. Spotlessly clean, friendly, safe. Pleasant neighbourhood. There is also a very good, typical restaurant attached to the Hostal; delicious food and a good wine list. Both thoroughly recommended.

Stayed here for 7 nights and can not fault the place. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable and the owners are welcoming. We even received some complimentary fruit and a bottle of wine which is rather great for a budget hostal. Wi-fi connection was speedy and free. Hostal is located in a quite residential street in the old quarter of...

This was one of the best budget places i've stayed in. The room was big and clean and there was free wifi. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help. The waiter even walked with me to the nearby taxi square carrying my bag. The location was perfect. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a good...

We stayed just one night. The hotel is situated in a beautiful and quiet street in the old town centre. Our room was spacious and clean, but did not have that local or personal touch we found in other hostals along the coast. The staff is very kind.

I stayed in Hostal El Gallo for the first time on a solo trip to Marbella in order to try and gain some experience in speaking the language. Initially when I booked to stay in El Gallo I wanted a cheap and cheerful accommodation just to put my head down in at night but I was thrilled when I arrived...

“I had room No 7, with private terrace - but there is also a terrace for everyone to use. Room 7 is perfect for a single traveller but there are also rooms with 2 beds. There is noise from the ventilation system in the evening but normally you are out anyway in the evenings - it stopped at around 23 hours.”
