Sure, it is cheap and location is perfect. But the staff especially the receptionist is not friendly and helpful. My partner and I looked at each other in a "oh dear" expression when we entered the hotel. The sight of the receptionist chewing gum at the same time speaking in a hassled way on the phone, while there was a...

This hotel is well-located and is about the best thing I can say about it--otherwise it would get one dot. The location is perfect for the traveler coming to Granada for what most people come to Granada for, to see the Alhambra. Plaza Nueva is at the heart of the tourist action, buses (and taxis) to and from the Alhambra...

The best part about the hotel is its location, right on Plaza Nueva. We took the advice of previous travellers, and asked for a room away from the Plaza which was very quiet. The interior is quite nice, the rooms were adequate, and the beds were fine. Breakfast in the basement was worthwhile. Taxis are easy to find on the...

Whilst the hotel is unremarkable it is clean comfortable and fine for a short break. It is however right bang on the money for location. The bus to the Alhambra stops outside just across the road. The Plaza Neuva is bustling and there is planty of Tapas bars nearby within easy walking distance. If arriving at Granada airport -we went...

The location, directly at the beginning of the road to the Alhambra is outstanding. It is near the Albacin, which is handy to go there, but also means a concentration of panhandling drunk and high dreadlocked travelers from all over Europe in the plaza and area. The female staff are outstanding, professional, helpful and welcoming, but the male could not...

There is nothing particularly special about this hotel, but in terms of price and location, right on Plaza Nueva and next to the Alhambra & Albacin buses, it is a great value. Four stars are based on value. We moved here from Casa de los Migueletes, which, in truth, is a much nicer place, but it is much more expensive....

The hotel is in the square at the base of the Alhambra. There is a bus that brings you up the Alhambra (95 cents one way). There is parking nearby in car park but not in the hotel. (the web site is a little misleading in this respect). There are major roadworks in Granada so a circuitous route needs to...

We have just done a tour of Cordoba, Seville, Marbella and Granada and all the hotels I researched and booked through sites from Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed, every one of the hotels came up to expectations and we would happily return to any of them. The Macia Plaza is situated in Plaza Nueva a busy square with lots of...

Granada - Hotel Macia Plaza ( 75 euros/night) 2 nights - Great location , right on Plaza Nuevo with taxis & the Alhambra buses right out the front door. Much nicer than the Picasso in Seville - a really nice full bathroom, including a bidet - a bit of a lower level Holiday Inn . We got the 3rd floor...

This hotel was a treat for us after 1 week in Spain. This was the nicest place we stayed and we got the best price of any of our hotels in Spain after booking with Expedia. The room was very clean and not bad on the size either. There was a breakfast buffet in the morning in the basement for...
