Meliá Lebreros boasts a modern ambiance that many guests appreciate, particularly noting the hotel's immaculate cleanliness and spacious rooms. While opinions on value vary, with some travelers finding the cost reasonable and others less satisfied, the hotel's amenities, including the expansive pool and the exclusive 'Level' lounge, receive high marks. Guests have called out the attentive staff, though service experiences have been inconsistent. The vibrant local nightlife does contribute to some noise, but overall, the hotel provides a pleasant stay with luxurious touches.

We love the hotel. The location was ideal for our plans. The receptionist at the level was kind enough to upgrade us on arrival… we had a massive room and were very comfortable. The food was so so but overall it’s a great hotel. The one thing I didn’t understand was that the hotel wouldn’t call for a cab inspite of the taxi circulation being low. (Wouldn’t even call for one for the airport)

Room Tip: Getting a taxi here can be a prob sometimes. The hotel must have a system to call for them

Dear Guest, Thank you for your review. We are delighted to hear that you loved our hotel and found the location ideal for your plans. It's great to know that our receptionist at The Level provided you with an upgrade, resulting in a comfortable and spacious room for your stay. We appreciate your feedback on the food and will take it into consideration for future improvements. Regarding the taxi service, our hotel usually assists guests with taxi requests, and we apologize if this was not the case during your stay. We look forward to seeing you on a future stay. I first went to the Melia Sevilla and after waiting in a queue for ages the one unfriendly man at reception told me that their executive rooms on what they call The Level were closed due to Covid although they were showing available on their website. He quoted €93 for a room whereas the price on the hotel's website was €92. The bar and gym were also closed and the hotel just looked like a large concrete block with no charm whatsoever.

I had a look at their swimming pool which was really small then walked to the Piazza de España which was nearby and after that took a taxi to the Melia Lebreros which was much more central. It was opposite El Corte Inglés department store and near a bus stop to the airport.

The first thing I did was have a look at the pool which was about 22 metres long and would have been great for swimming lengths if there hadn't been steps all along the shallow end. I joined their membership programme to get 2,000 points and got a room for €57.45 which was a much better deal than the Melia Sevilla.

I got to my room and was a bit annoyed that they had given me a handicapped room without asking me if that was alright, it wasn't so I went back to reception and got a different room. I was glad that the bed had a double mattress unlike the 5 star Barceló Sevilla Renacimiento where I had stayed the previous night and which only had single mattresses in all of their rooms. The room was smaller than the Barceló with two armchairs and an oval table. There were no individual toiletries, just shampoo, conditioner and shower gel dispensers and the bathrobes were miniscule.

I went across the road to a nearby tapas restaurant called La Flor de Azafrán (turn left on the way out of the hotel, cross the main road and continue for a few metres and you will find it on your left) for a late lunch and it was fairly good with reasonable prices.

I had a drink in the hotel in the evening and the barman was very friendly.

The gym was small but at least it was open.

The a/c in the room was just alright. The bed and pillows were comfortable and I slept well. I would definitely come back here because of the swimming pool.

We've booked this hotel because it had a great swimming pool and we were not disappointed. The pool has definitely delivered and cooled us down in a 40 degree heat. There's enough space and sun loungers for everyone to enjoy it and not being on top of each other. Having said that we were there during the week and were told it gets busier at the weekend. 11am-3pm seems to be a very quiet time, it then picks up after 3pm and gets very busy from 5pm. If you want to have it to yourself come first thing when it opens at 11am. The fabric ones are much more comfortable then the plastic ones. There's not many of them but definitely worth choosing over the plastic ones. You get a towel from the pool guy when you arrive. The toilet facilities by the pool are in good condition and there's a hand sanitiser when you enter. The pool guy seems to be quiet attentive when someone leaves the sun lounger he sprays them with some sort of disinfectant but he does not wipe the sun lounger nor does he spray the parts when you would actually rest your arms and hands which is not a very effective way to kill any germs. Another shocking thing was there was a man in the pool ( he was in there for a good 20 minutes) who would swim from one part of the pool to another and then spit around the edges of the pool. He would repeat the same thing over and over again and spit everywhere around the pool. It's beyond me how no one from the hotel staff ( the pool boy and another gentleman who was present during breakfast service) would come up to him and ask him to stop. When I finally managed to come over and speak to them, they had no clue what I was talking about, even when I was pointing to the guy. In the end instead of acting upon it and be trained to deal with this sort of situations they called for guest relations to come and see me because 'i had a problem with a guest'. The guest relations arrived long after the spitting guest left the pool. All I was doing it looking out for everybody else's safety when covid cases are on the rise. It looks like this is something not taken too seriously in this hotel!!!
Now moving on to the rooms - they are small and pretty basic. The air con is terrible and left us sweating at night.
Housekeeping was very friendly and although we had the dnd sign on the door the lady would ask us everyday ( when we were outside the room) if we needed anything.
We were told during the check in process that Melia members get 2 for 1 on breakfast. What we were not told is that if you want your 2 for 1 breakfast for 12 euros, you need to tell reception before hand. We were in the end charged 20,5 euros for breakast each day and let me tell you, it's not worth the money. Scrabbled eggs are luke warm, churros are rock hard and fruit is unripen. Breakfast during the week is till 10.30am but before 10.30am they basically tell you to grab what you can and turn off the coffee machine and start cleaning everything in front of you. If you allow people to be down for breakfast until 10.30am you should allow them to eat in piece and make sure that they have all the choice and don't need to pile their plates like on a cheap all inclusive holiday.

We should have been staying at The Melia Sevilla but our booking was transferred over the Melia Lebreros. And we are happy that it was, the staff were fantastic (apart from one grumpy old man Serving behind the bar) We are English and the language barrier at sometimes was a little difficult but then we can’t speak Spanish! Everything was kept perfectly clean, hand sanitiser everywhere, if ever you had an issue it was resolved instantly. The room was beautiful the pool area was lovely, Disappointed that the pool bar was closed and they could have had a member of staff going around the pool once an hour or so taking orders for drinks or even the towel person selling bottles of water from a fridge, definitely a missed opportunity for both the customer and themselves. The real negative issue that never got sorted was the repulsive sewerage smell in the ladies toilets on reception level, it was absolutely awful, if you go in once you will never go in again and it really did need sorting out.

Our room had an intolerable stench to it. We made the front desk staff aware of the situation and they promised to remove the smell. After returning to the room, it still had the same god-awful smell. The hotel also keeps AC off in the winter, which is ridiculous. The rooms are so hot, it’s extremely difficult to get a good night’s rest as the only solution to cooling the room down is to open the windows (which lets a ton of sound into the room from the busy street below.) The only redeeming factor to this hotel was its breakfast, which had a good selection of items, thus why I rate this hotel a 2/5 star. Unfortunately, this hotel does not live up to the 4 star rating it is supposed to have.

Response from MeliaLebreros, Guest Experience at Meliá Lebreros
Responded Jan 8, 2020
Dear Guest, First of all, we would like to thank you for having chosen our hotel Meliá Lebreros for your recent stay in Seville. It is shame to read that throughout your stay some things were not solved in an efficent manner, even though in regards your comment with the A/C, we have our system centralised and also due to low temperatures at night heating is on at those times. Nevertheless it is nice to read that during your holidays with us you enjoyed our varied buffet breakfast. Please, if you decide to return to our hotel, do not hesitate to contact our Guest Experience department in order to make your days with us something to remember. Kind regards, Guest Experience

My husband and I arrived in the evening having travelled by train, and were looking forward to our stay. We checked into Room 706.

In Room 706:
• The washbasin was blocked and the water did not drain away.
• The floor lamp was broken.
• The room temperature was extremely hot and the climate controls did not work.

I returned to the reception desk and explained the problems; the lady was very helpful and immediately gave me the keys for a different room. We moved to Room 906. We were very tired by this point. We started to unpack our things but then we noticed that the room was dirty.

In Room 906:
• The pillows were stained with lipstick and make-up.
• There were hairs on the pillows and on the sheets.
• The sheets were dirty and had not been changed from the previous occupants.
• The bathroom had greasy fingerprints on the door.

I returned yet again to the reception desk and said I was extremely unhappy about the dirty room. This time I spoke with a gentleman who was also very helpful. He gave me the keys for Room 605, which he said was a Premium room (upgraded room). We moved to Room 605.

In Room 605: This room was clean but the climate control did not work. It was uncomfortably hot and it was not possible to change the temperature. We didn’t know if the climate control in all the rooms was malfunctioning but at this point in the evening we did not want to move rooms for a third time.

We opened the windows but there was a lot of noise in the street (a very loud birthday party which went on all night until 07:00) and after a while of tolerating the noise in order to attempt to cool the room a little, we shut the windows. It remained uncomfortably hot in the room and therefore we slept badly.

We were extremely disappointed at the standard of the hotel. Reception staff were polite and helpful; however there seems to be a poor standard of housekeeping and maintenance. It is reasonable to expect clean sheets, functioning bathrooms, plumbing and lighting, and a comfortable temperature for sleeping and unfortunately these were not reliably provided to us at the Melia Lebreros.

I wrote to the manager of the hotel by letter to express my dissatisfaction. His email reply was apologetic but did not offer any recompense for our poor experience. He said, and I quote: "our air conditioning system is centralized therefore due to seasons we have air conditioning or heating". It will be up to other travellers to decide for themselves, but when I am in an hotel I want to be able to adjust the heating or air conditioning myself - not everyone wants the same temperature - and in a supposed "high quality" hotel like a Melia, having a stifingly hot room with no option to adjust it is unacceptable. I will not be staying here again.

Where to start ….
Location perfect if you want a nice quiet area but with things to do plenty of shops and restaurants close if you don’t want to.
Short Uber ride into the Centre 4/5€
Breakfast…. was very good everything you need from a hotel breakfast
Room …well that was unbelievable we had a grand premium room very big bath and double shower and a massive bed couldn’t have wanted more it also included THE LEVEL of which was great open from 7am -10pm free drinks and snack
The girls all of them were so helpful friendly and kind loved them all
Even sent a message in the morning of my husband’s birthday ❤️
Yes the parking was 19.50€ but that’s normal for a hotel of this quality in a centre location
In my opinion worth every penny and we will be back so thank you to everyone at the Meliá lebreros keep up the good work your all amazing !!!

48 hours before departure Melia informed me the Melia Sevilla, which I'd booked, would not be open. There's no way that decision was only taken 48 hours before my arrival.
I'd booked a premium room at the Sevilla, which I was also told I wouldn't be having at the Lebreros. And there was no reduction in the rate. At such short notice there was little I could do, which no doubt Melia were relying upon. Oh, and at no point has there been a hint of an apology.
The room really was very basic, but it and the hotel were clean. There are no English speaking tv channels, and nothing in the room to make the stay even slightly feel like a treat. I was also able to get a 13:00 checkout. Hence 2 stars rather than 1.
The way Melia have behaved is nothing short of disgusting. Unfortunately for them this was an opportunity for them to convert me from H10 which have always been fantastic.

The Hotel was a good venue for a recent business conference. The rooms were large and felt well spaced out and Covid-safe. We were asked to wear masks moving around the hotel and the rooms were cleaned frequently. The food overall was decent with a good selection at the breakfast and lunch buffets. The coffee and cakes served at breaks were really good and kept us going through the day. Unfortunately there was not time to enjoy the pool or gym but these looked good from a distance!

we spent 4 nights in the hotel while using seville as the base for visiting surrounding areas. we chose the hotel given its close proximity to santa justa train station (about 700m away, 5 minutes walk) and the car rental right next to the train station. it’s about 25 minutes walk to the old towns (for real alcazar, cathedral etc).

hotel is nicely decorated and clean. check in was smooth and quick. services and hospitality are up to expectation. room is spacious and clean with adequate amenities. (it would be better if kettle and coffee are provided in the room).

breakfast spread is wide with lots of variety. we especially like the fresh fruit counter where you could request for fresh fruit juice of your choice. there are many good restaurants around the hotel. two shopping malls are right opposite.

overall it makes a good base for our stay in seville.
