My friends and I were so looking forward to staying at this hotel in May2020. We booked via Booking.com in October 2019 paying in full by credit card. COVID struck in March 2020 and when I contacted the hotel in April they offered a 75% refund although they could not provide the holiday as the were closed. They eventually agreed to refund 100% and I expected this to be returned to my credit card. However no sign. After many attempts, I managed to contact them directly and was told that they could not refund back to my card even though I spoke to my credit card company twice and they could see no reason why not, Then then said they could refund to my bank account and asked for details which I provided via email. They then asked for my passport details, address etc all of which I did not wish to send via email fir security reasons. A friend lives in Spain and speaks fluent Spanish and sh3 contacted them for me but they still would not send a refund. Whilst I understand that it has been hard for the hospitality industry, this was at the beginning of the pandemic. My friends and I are left nearly £1200 out of pocket and I am left filling in forms and has great anxiety as this is not solely my money but that of my friends also. We were unable to transfer to another date as we did not know when the pandemic would end and whether we could organise another trio together as we all work in the same department. We we do get the chance we would most definitely have chosen this hotel but their actions have left a very sour taste and I would not book with them again…
We had a very good time in Sevilla in this hotel. We had an amazing room with a very very large balcony. The sun in the morning in the room was very pleasant. The hotel is modern and has the Seviilian style which is a good mix because a lot of hotels in Seville seems very old and miss that touch of modernity. The location is perfect, 2 min away for the Metropol, 10 min walking from the Cathedral. The breakfast was ok, not spectacular but fine. The staff at the breakfast was very kind, the young waiter which is also at the bar in the afternoon is great, smiling, and also asking if we need anything. Moreover, he speaks a very good english (which is not that commun in Sevilla)
the hotel location is very central. rooms are clean several times a day and staffs are very friendly and always willing to accomodate the guests’s needs. they even brought cookies on my last day. new renovations in some parts. building didnt lost its ancient style charms with additions of some parts that are modern,
We nearly did not come because of uncertainities on Covid-19 in UK and with quarantining in force. Decided to carry on as thought situation was unlikely to improve much by next spring and the weather in Spain was so much better than it was forecast to be UK for the 1st weekend in October The hotel provided a lovely message and a bottle of Cava to help us celebrate our 25th wedding annversary. Everyone was friendly / helpful on reception notably Alicia and the room was spotlessly clean and a good size. English is well spoken which is as well as my attempts at speaking Spanish from a phrase book invariably lead to a dead end! We had nice breaks relaxing on roof terrace break in-between walking round the old city. Thoroughly recommend visiting in October as it did not get too hot for walking around but bring a jumper for sitting outside at tapa bars / restaurants in evening! Good location for Metropole Parasol (a couple of minutes away), and not far to cathedral/Alcazar, less than 15 mins. Several lively places to eat and drink within easy walking distance. We got a late checkout within the package booked with hotel which was useful. Did not take breakfast due to range of options outside the hotel, but perhaps on a return visit!…
Thoroughly attentive service in wonderfully designed building - superb mix of ancient and modern. Wondered about parking in city centre hotel but able to park at reception to unload before being directed to nearby car park. Super secluded small roof top pool with bar. 10 minute walk to main attractions. Would definitely stay again.
